Favourite Male Final Fantasy Character

Just wondering who your favourite male FF character is. Sorry if I left some names out but I focused on the characters that I thought were the most popular. Cloud's got an interesting past and a personality that I can relate to hence the reason for me choosing him as my favourite. (I highly rate Auron, Vincent and Balthier as well though).

I'm tempted to say Auron or Balthier just because they kick all sorts of ass, but seeing as I'm on a current Crisis Core fandom, I'm going to have to say Zack, he's so cheerful unlike the many angsty leads of other FFs and can basically do anything Cloud can do only better.

Yeah, Zack is awesome although I'm pretty sure that post-FFVII Cloud is stronger than Zack. I find Zack's personality hard to relate to. I don't know many people who act like he does and find that flawed characters like Cloud and Squall are easier to relate to (as opposed to the cheerful ones like Zack and Zidane) - for me anyway.

Tie between Zack and Cloud, but Zack is just slightly above Cloud. Their story is so heartbreaking, and VII was the first FF game I played, back in 98 =D

Yeah it was my first FF game too. I had already got two games from the video store and had to get another one quickly (for the three game deal) because my Dad was leaving. I grabbed FFVII for the sake of it. Little did I know it would be the best game I've ever played.

Wow that's a pretty cool way of finding it haha! My cousin made me play the computer demo, and I loved it so much, we bought it pretty soon after.

Well out of the seven characters that were in the FFX party, Wakka is the only figure Square-Enix decided not to make so I didn't think he was very popular. I myself love him and will hopefully be cosplaying him at Auckgeddon.

Did you buy it for PS or Computer? You have quite a big FFVII collection too right?

Computer, we didn't have a PS then. Only one of my friends did haha. I lived on Snes/N64 and gameboy.
General FF collection, yeah. It's no way near as big as most people's in the US though, I just have all the games and assorted merch. It's so much cheaper over there ;_;

Well if I recall right the computer version has better graphics anyway. I've always been a PS guy myself but find myself buying any console that has a FF game on it...I'm...somewhat obsessed...

Yeah that's why I import all of my stuff. Do you have any pictures of your collection? I always enjoy looking at other peoples FF stuff.

Haha totally. I bought a PSP last year, and a DS this year. I don't have the old consoles anymore, but I run the games on emulators when I feel nostalgic.

Shipping went up not long ago, though, and I can't get a credit card yet. But I spent two months over christmas in the UK and USA, so I did a bit of shopping then!
Not yet, but I'm getting around to taking photos of all the bits and bobs I own, I've just rehoused my entire figure collection and it's looking all sparkly and happy =D

I've gotten quite a bit since then but decided to pack everything away into storage. I had to replace my FFVII after the case fell and cracked and everything just keeps getting dusty. Once I complete my collection I'll get a huge glass case and bring everything out again.

Using a credit card with paypal was the best thing that ever happened for my collection. Just wait till your 18 - you can get hugely in debt with a tertiary account (if you chose to get tertiary education). Even with shipping everything is MUCH cheaper overseas.

Heh, FF9 was my first FF. Jess and I were at a party that our parents dragged us along to and the host's daughters had to entertain us so they showed us FF9 and then Jess got to play it and then we bought it and I played it and I was like: ZOMGILOVETHISANDOSHIZISUCKATITDAMNITI'LLJUSTWATCHJESSPLAY.

Yeah, FFIX and FFX are my tied second favourite. Vivi is my favourite from FFIX. The whole existence theme was central to FFIX and Vivi's personality and story was perfect for this theme. I also love the way he straightens his hat after he falls over.

Nice collection! And they're all boxed up nicely still aww. I have too much fun with mine to keep them boxed haha. I'm such a kid.

I have limits for myself with everything.. With shipping, most figures go over what I'm willing or am able to pay. Most of what I've got are mint condition second hand, or stuff I picked up overseas. I've been buying more shitajiki than figures recently, though.

And yeah I'm going to Uni but I don't need a student loan. I'm very very paranoid about debt and loans, so I'm really lucky.

Yes! Cloud has caught up - hopefully he will soon take his rightful place as leader Razz

I myself would have loved a lot of the FFXII characters such as Vayne but there wasn't enough character development for me to do so. FFXII makes me really sad because the gameplay, voices, sidequests and a lot of the ideas were awesome but there was a lot lacking in the story and character development (aside from Balthier). The whole Magicite thing was extremly stupid IMO and I found myself travelling for hours before I got to 2 minutes of story.

But back to the matter at hand...my least favourite would have to be - and this is tough for me because I love almost all FF characters - Genesis. He annoyed the hell out of me with all his quotes and was so obsessed with that damn Loveless that it was crazy. It also annoys me that he's trying to seek redemption now as I hardly think he deserves it. He didn't really show any good side throughout the story and

lol, I thought you said that you liked Cloud more after you played FFVII too? Didn't you used to like Sephiroth a lot as well? I also like Nero and wish that he was the final boss in DoC as opposed to Weiss - not that I didn't like Weiss but I think that Nero was a cooler character overall.
