Just a couple tips I thought I'd share - the Fabric Warehouse on Sar street in welly do a 20% student discount.

Evans' in Lower Hutt will order in fabric for you if they don't have it in stock - and they do pieces, not just by the bolt! Very handy - just thought I'd share :p
