I was told this by four different people this morning! Three of them felt the need to text me, I've never had so much pop culture in my cell phone before.

Man, he's been famous for as long as I can remember. I remember when I was about 12 being SO UNBELIVABLY jealous when my best friend was taken to Auckland to see his show. *sigh* And knowing all the words to his History albulm. We used to sing his songs in choir in primary school. My class developed this totally beyond epic dance routine to "What about us" that the classes below us proceeded to rip off every year for the next ten years. We all wore one white glove. It was epic, in every single sense of the word.

now for the two jokes I made so far.

I saw Thriller though, he will be back on tour in no time.

Reports say his last words were "Tell the children I love them" when asked if he meant his kids he shook his head.

I have no feelings on this matter...I was like Ok, MJ is dead...

I am sure he died back in the 80s and the surgeries were done to keep the corpse alive...they must have run out of doner skin and souls...

To me its not so much that "oh hes a kiddy fiddler" or "no one cares now" its the fact that he was one HUGE pop culture icon and pretty much the biggest star in music next to the likes of Elvis and the Beatles, regardless of your music tastes.

Maybe thats the problem?
