(It's just a link, because it's pretty big, and doesn't want to embed)
Ah, so I've decided on this for one of the days of Armageddon, cause I love Nill...(don't worry, it's not for the competition or anything) and I've been faced with this, one of two things- what would be the best way stick cardboard/wire/feather wings onto skin, for this outfit? Or does anyone have a reference for Nill's long sleeved (and therefore highbacked) outfit, at the front? I can only seem to find pictures of her looking backward in it...
*bows humbly* thank you?! |

| Unless they were freakishly light and quite small I'm not sure you could stick them on. There is this see through plasticy stretchy stuff that a lot of good wings use, which wouldn't be noticable. If you want to try stick them on, you might be able to use latex? |

| um when i 1st read this i thought about having skin coloured fabric across the back. Then you could hide something that would hold it in place...
Not quite what you're after im sorry, but I shall keep pondering over this ^_^ |

| Have a look at how firefly-path.net do their fairy wings - they use a wire base and clear bra straps. They'd have to be super light, and you'd need to use something other than flowers to hide the wire frame, but that'd be easier than just making a pair and sticking them on. Spirit gum only does so much, lol...

| I should really get around to reading DOGS...
Because then I wouldn't have to ask if her wings lie rather flat to her shoulders. Because you could then, instead of making the wings one piece, do the wings separately and clip them to bra straps. OR you could still make them separate and attach them to the clear strap-y harness thing Static mentions. Which would be easier than messing around with clips. |

This one I bookmarked ages ago, =P it would work if you make it clear straps over the shoulder. |

| ^, ^^: They're tiny little things. Don't even look as if they stick out as far her elbows if Nill stuck her arms out. |

| Woah...thank you everyone! I think I'll try for the clear straps, I have the wings themselves made- they are only lil, so they weren't too hard, just a matter of sticking the darn things ON~
It did present a bit of a problem, I thought I had the wing thing sorted, I have another cosplay with wings for Auckgeddon, but it doesn't have them stuck to skin so I'm free to harness them and all, but Nill...oh dear *headdesk*
Also, while I'm here...does anyone know a good place to order feathers enmasse from? I used the supply we had for most of it, but now I've run out...;-; |

| Ranbowfeathers.com (or something to that effect, ranbow feather co. maybe?) do an amazing range and their freight charges are decent-ish. They're based in the US though, which is a pain, I know there are NZ places but pass on what they're called |

| MANY feathers are needed...my cat will have a fit actually, when I bring them home, so it's probably better for me to buy in bulk, but I'll check DE as well. Thank ye! |

| The proper way. Latex, lots of latex. The latex will go over the upper back/straps/over the shoulders, etc. Completely obsure the harness mechanism. And then once it is glued on it has to be bodypainted so it matches your skin, especially at the place it ends and your skin begins. Simple? |
