Songs for comp
Post By Rikki-Leigh. 14/09/09, 03:18 pm

SO!

I've decided I'm going to be entering Kaito at Wellygeddon next year and I'm hoping to do a song

This is the song I am looking at doing:

Unfortunately, the restrictions on solo skits are really tight but what's the longest they can be. I know the limit is a minute, but I remember when I did the FF7 skit with Fleyer and co. we got to 2:30 for a group, so would the absolute limit for a solo be 1:30?

If so, then I'd be able to get away with doing the first 1:30 of the song.

So yeah. Question is.. Would I be able to get away with 1:30, or just under?

The limit is one minute for solo. We have been timing and telling people when they exceed it. if you exceed it by that much you will be disqualified.
Also if anyone does a skit within the limits in the judging round but extends it on stage any more they too will be disqualified.

I am organising a person to solely tackle the technical aspects and they will be timing you on stage.

Would it work if I were to make a thread with all the rules as published? Then the rules would be up permanently here (and be official) and be able to be edited should further refining need to be made over time?

I may also post a thread on the Geddon forums for the rules and registration forms that I can also edit to reflect what is on the current streamlining is.

The rules refine rather than change due to various issues we have encountered (such as the issue with not having time for everyone before, hense the time limits and weapons policies).

Is a couple of seconds over a minute okay? I've managed to get it shortened to exactly a minute, but the singing starts at the beginning of the minute and ends at the end of the minute and it seems rather abrupt =\
