need help with some very annoying shoes...

Even hard to my eyes to look at.

I need help pretty much from scratch, I was thinking of buying some cheap converse and editing the hell out of them but...

wooo... personally i would get some long boot and cover with fabric and put the laces on the front (with the zip still functioning on the side)
or get jandles and use some (heavier) fabric to fit your leg, cut down the middle and attach laces.

probably 2 of the easy options, depending on how hard out you want to go
(hope it made sense >_<)

I have been looking for some boots, But I am really picky and all the boots I find are a little too thick...
I don't want them looking too bulky xD

Hm. If you're willing to spend a bit more, converse do custom make shoes - if you think it's worth it, then that would be your best bet. Of course you may have to sell your liver and both kidneys to afford them.

Failing that - buy a white pair of base shoes (or at least ones that are white at the toe - don't have to be chucks) and make the rest of the boot (the beige bits) as a 'boot cover' - that you glue to the base shoe. :)

holy crapmonkey... yeah custom chucks cost sugar honey iced tea. 8( it's sad.

one girl that did yuffie's boots got some chucks-lookalikes (imitation ones are quite cheap) and then just added the material up to the knee, sort of extending them, and she used that corset tape stuff that has holes to put laces through... i forget what it's called.

they looked amazing, too.

The corsetry tape with grommets is called grommet tape, or eyelet tape. ararenotion.com.au has it in black, maybe white too? I can vouch for ararenotion being AWESOME to deal with Very Happy

But setting your own eyelets really isn't hard - practice on a bit of scrap fabric and you're all good to go.

Hows it comeing along?

From the look of it I would say canvas, if you want a fabric look, or suede leather. Suede is not cheap though, maybe fake suede? This is a boot and both materials are traditional boot materials, and give a bit of the stiffness required to stay up.

PS at least some of it would be easier to hand sew.
