I'm doing a majority of the planning with Wookster giving me a hand as well. The image above was also designed by me.

Anyways, I need some help from you kind folks in what to get for the prizes department.

So far I've worked out...

First Place: 1x Pokemon Platinum NDS Game, One Pokemon Platinum DS Case and a $50 EB Games Gift Voucher

Second Place: One Pokemon Platinum DS Case and $30 EB Games Gift Voucher

Third Place: $20 EB Games Gift Voucher

Spot Prizes: EB games have kindly donated 5 Edge cards, a couple of Xbox 360 Faceplates and lanyards. There will be other spot prizes.

There is a $10 Entry Fee.

Tournament is open to all providing they have a DS and One of the generation IV Pokemon games. I will also post a ban list and rules here later once more interest is gained.

Also, another flaw I have discovered is what if whoever gets first place already has Pokemon Platinum? Then again, you could sell it at an EB and use it as credit for another game or at the ones at the Palms Mall towards Anime...

Anyways, I hope you folks can get back to me with suggestions on how to make this tournament worthwhile. It'd be great to have a good turnout this year. Feel free to leave comments here or chuck Wookster or myself a Private Message.

Minimum Level would be 50 I guess. Although if it's anything like the Pokemon tournament at Chch Armageddon this year, then expect to see a lot of lv 100's.

I was suggested by Wookie that I made a place in Christchurch my venue, then again it wouldn't be the Ashburton Pokemon tournament would it? I've managed to get by the past couple of years. Let's see how this time around goes.

Since there was a relatively poor turnout, I'll postpone the tournament to about November. I may base this one in Christchurch to make things a little more convenient. More details as they come.
