Yeah both of those years it was so quiet, last year was the first year there was a long line like that. I know their numbers keep going up and up, and I can only guess what Auckgeddon will be like this year, with 14000 through the doors in Welly!

We just breezed straigh in on Saturday last year.. I dunno why but the line was MASSIVE. Then some random dude comes up to us and yells at us to move to the front of the line. I dunno why... o___0

I might actually prebook this year xD Since I'm going all three days.
Theres a booth in Westfield, Henderson right? I might pick mine up from there in August or September

I always prebook my tickets ... Not for CHCH though ... *was poor*.
wellington has really long lines though, so it's best to prebuy them.

Auckland has REALLY long lines, Wellington was nothing compared to that. I've got some photos from upstairs in the cinema showing the line going around the corner to the stairs leading to the cinema.
ie: from the entrance, all the way along the side of the aotea square, and around the corner to the entrance for the cinema and food court.

to top it off this was at 11am when i came out for a break!

They don't sell out (apart from silver and gold passes) but waiting in the ticket line, THEN the entry line is a beautiful and wonderful person.

D: The thing that annoys me about getting hold of three day passes is the fact you can't get them online... honestly, it seems ridiculous that you can't && have to ring them up or go in. >> Inconvenient says I.

When you prebook your tickets and have them with you, you can just go in that side door right?

has the situation with the 3day passes changed at all now it's through 'the edge' or same as it was with ticketek? i haven't actually booked yet, so not sure.

all through the edge now. And If you prebuy your tickets and they post them out to you, you can walk right in after waiting for the line to finish lol. Otherwise, you have to wait in the tickets line THEN the getting in line. x_X It's a pain doing it by phone, but I think I prolly will...

hrm.. ok. i know the stuff on the website says it's through 'The Edge' now, and since i haven't dealt with them/have a logon yet, I haven't bothered yet. Oh, well.

Edit reply to JVCA: can you pick them up on the friday day? i'd assume if they're open you can, plus I'll be in Auck on Friday at some point anyway. Razz

Nearest edge booth to the convention is the front door, basically. It's just to the right of the entrance, and part of the same building.
