Victoria University Info Evening - THURSDAY!

Hey school kids!!

Victoria University is having an information evening TOMORROW (Thursday) from 6pm. I'm not sure exactly where in the Uni, but I'm sure there will be signs.

You can talk to faculty, get brochures, find out about courses and lotsa fun things. Probably some free food. I'm happy to meet anyone there who wants some moral support.

There will be another big open day later in the year, so don't worry if you cant make it but you're interested.

I've gotten the information about the day countless of times. But there is no way of me getting there. D:

And my parents also can't come due to them being...not in this country.

Also it's at Gate 5 or something.

how would one get from train station to open day i really want to go as i want to talk to staff members about possible courses and entry requirements but i have no idea where to go help plz

Well, later in the year - August I think - they run a "Study at Vic" day. The school will almost certainly run a bus. Ours did, and it was an hour away. Thats a much more comprehensive day than they could squish into an evening.

And Gate 5 is a driveway Very Happy

Balmung: From the train your best bet is to catch a 17 bus. Failing that, walk half to Borders and catch a 22 or a 23 bus (one or other of those every 1/2 an hour. Give the bus driver 1 dollar fifty. Get off when you get to the uni - you can't miss it. OR - keep going along Lambton Quay and catch the cable car to the University - 3rd stop up the hill. $1 if you say you're a student, $2.50 if you're honest. Either way Go up the hill and take the driveway directly uphill after the dairy with the clock in it.

okay franitcally writing that down in my journal.

is there any spacific room i should be going in as i dont want to wind up in some advaced latin classroom looking like an opossum in the headlights of a truck

A) They'd completely fail to notice you unless you barged in half way through. If you accidentally walked in at the same time as the rest of the students, so long as the class was big enough, no-one would ever notice. I've frequently gone to classes that weren't mine just coz a friend was in it and the topic was interesting.

B) I'm not sure exactly where it is. I THINK from the quad you go uphill more, following signs to Cotton Building, but I'm not sure. I AM sure that there will be signs though.
