How high a priority is cosplay in your life?

Expense wise:
Rent/power/internetphone/gas(which only costs me $5 a week but still!)> cosplay > doing things with/for friends/family > food (this is mainly because I have a huge stockpile of food) > other stuff (books, clothes, etc)
I spend waaaay more on cosplay than real clothes, that is for sure.

Time wise:
Spending time with people > internet > cosplay > uni > entertainments
Although right now unpacking/stressing about unpacking is a big drama (we just moved...)

I focus waay more than I should on cosplay. I had two essays due within a week of each other but worked on a cosplay instead. Ended up writing them both the night before

Luckily I got a B+ and an A. Butbutbut... I am not very good at focusing on one thing at the moment

Bills/rent/food > cosplay
Uni = Cosplay XD couldn't decide which was more important. The importance of each fluctuates depending on: 1) events coming up, and 2) when my next assignment is due.
Cosplay > new clothes (I can't remember the last piece of new clothing I bought...)
Cosplay > all other hobbies.

The importance of cosplay tends to fluctuate...depending on what events are coming up, how much homework I have, and how much crazy crap my friends/teachers/family dump on me.

I spend WAY more time and energy on cosplay than I should. But then, ANYTHING is more interesting than my thesis. Anything. Cleaning. Cooking. Long walks. Facebook. Fanfiction. Reading. TV. ANYTHING!!! I want to sew more, but I need to learn to manage my time better so that I have spare time in which to sew.

I still havn't found the homework I have been given over the last several months. Won't take long once I find it. Not looking forward to starting my Diploma, but will be good to get it. It will have to be priority 1. I do tend to leave everything to the last minute though it is not a good idea, especially on costumes. (Puts sledge hammer through flatmates sewing machine in anger, then has to hand sew garb. Or at least felt like it, although I did hand sew half of it, arrived a day late!)

I cosplay beacuse it is fun. So yeah other things are more important.

On a serious note I agree. Actualy with the SCA, and St John I don't need many at all. Still every two months would be O.K., otherwise you loose touch, and can't be bothered. As long as I don't need a new costume every meet. That's just time and money I don't have/want to spend.

Although we could just give Aura a mission every week to be done in a different costume! See how long before she has a nervous breakdown. Nah, on second thought seems too much work for us to organise. (May? stop picking on Aura now.)
