Prinny Costume - for Rolly

i thought this thread might be of interest to some other cosplayers, so i'm putting this all this up here. C:

the suit frame was galvanized iron chicken wire
which was moulded into the basic shape- about $17-18 for 5 meters which
is far more than you need, and it was then covered with craft wadding
(like, the cheapest quilt batting, about $5/m- or you could go to the
salvation army and buy some cheap batting there) which i used a hot
glue gun to glue it to itself through the frame. C: there were armholes
in the side which were just bent out from chicken wire-- to keep shape
i tied the loose sides together with some more wire which held it
together.

the only padding inside it (i folded all the sharp
corners of the chicken wire away from me) was at the top where my head
went because it was a bit messy up there, and i just glued more quilt
batting to cushion it.

the material is microfleece (the navy material), the beak & wings are lycra, the eyes are felt.

i didn't really have issues with my box poking me... it just made the
costume very weighted towards the front so i had to be careful how i
put it down. what REALLY sucked was the barbeque tongs i installed to
make the beak moved- they stabbed me in the chest all day, lol.

the costume wasn't foldable... you either had to carry it or wear it. 8( we drove it up in our van and prinny sat in the aisle.
