Cut or ignore FRINGE stressyness
By Keyaral. 01/04/09, 02:46 pm |
| Hi world of helpfull cosplayers ^__^ Last minute woes are everywhere.
So my character is Shinku from Rosen maiden. (stabbeh for all the red velvet ><)
http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q=shinku+rozen+maiden&btnG=Google+Search&meta=&aq=0&oq=shinku+rozen
I have reasonable long blonde hair, however i also have a full grown out fringe. Do people suggest cutting it short, or finding appropriate hair pieces etc? If so please advise what.
Thankyou ^__^

| I don't think you have time to find appropriate hair pieces. D: WHERE TO FIND SUPER LONG RINGLETS is your problem.

| Hmm. Same problem is there too. Fringe pieces are pretty hard to find in store, the only ones I've seen have been online.
I say get somebody you know is good with hair to cut it. I tried cutting my own fringe once. 8D It was a disaster. |

| cutting your own fringe isn't difficult at all, if you're not going for layers or a razored look. you need a mirror, sharp scissors and a comb to keep it straight, then you cut along the top of the comb while it's in your fringe. at least, that's how i cut mine alskdjflkd |

| Thankie people, that curl idea looks awesome.
I dont mind cutting, but am aware of the annoyence of growing it back out afterwards. Yes photos everywhere for everyone. Even Mods! |

| ...I have a theory tha I've never tried...but is similar to the curly one. I've always wanted to try giving somebody a fake fring by just taking the front section of hair and twisting it into a knot on the crown of the head and then styling the last few inches into a fringe - I'm not sure how to make the knot look pretty, but if you're wearing a hat, who cares!
..I should confess I like playing with hair. |

| Yeah, I've tried combing hair from the back forward under a headband and it semi-worked. Anyway, I think the fringe is VITAL and that you should get it cut if you can't find a fringe hairpiece. I think I know a place in Auckland that sells wigs and I've seen finge-pieces there, but they could be expensive. |
