Forum under investigation? ._.

Hopefully they'll get the idea that we're not actually downloading/sharing anime on the forums and leave us alone.

(There're quite a few in the list we've broken: I'm sure that disturbing David Hasslehoff siggie counts as a crime against humanity, ~~and if it doesn't, Angie's running memory jokes certainly might...~~)

Likewise, I've got space, but not a decent connection, I'm actually in the process of moving my gallery overseas to speed things up. The only catch is moving 24->26gigs internationally at fail NZ internet speeds. Although I did get a good deal - $9.50 US for a year, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage.

Ok, so thats a backup plan. We co-opt someone's server and move in Very Happy

EDIT: Ahhh. Well, OK then. We wont take JP's server then. But for $9.50 US a month, I think fundraising for that is not unreasonable. Maybe suffer some advertisements. The thing is, if forum.motion take us down for the only mildly illegal discussions we have here, pretty much everywhere else will to eventually. So moving onto somewhere that we run would solve that issue. With more space we could also properly develop the gallery and if we ran our own forum some of the features people have been requesting could be put in - like password 18+ areas, or optional filters. Not that I have the time or skills for that. But I'm willing to learn!

Personally, I don't want to go back to Cosplay.com. I see they STILL havn't put in the NZ subforum I requested to the Admins months ago when they were doing revisions. If they aren't willing to make us feel at home there, I'm not inclined to try to set up shop there. I'm NOT in Australia, I don't want to have to spam Australians when I want to talk about 'Geddon things.

I am willing to help us find a new forum...I have one on my site...but I am only on a 50mb plan, so if you guys are willing to put in like a dollar each I can put that up to like a gig...Any takers?

Well, I already got hosting in the US that I pay for monthly (so none of you guys have to pay anything).

I can just stick us on that host and set a domain name to it.

Up to you guys... but I don't think we should get too out-of-hand just yet.

Don't everyone panic too much, it's likely forumotion will just ask for the content to be removed/remove it themselves, then give the forum back? No reason for them not to~

At the moment, all they're doing is closing it down for a few hours tomorrow. The forums, as far as we know, are going to be given back to us as they are. Your lurking/spamming/fun tiem place isn't going anywhere.

I'm assuming the downtime is 12AM our time though? If so, and if it'll only be a few hours, at least it'll be at a time when most of us are... not online?
