I didn't shun them - its not their problem lol - I said they were cool!
Its more the fact that I think last year when one of the previous winners had got to the final they were given second prize because they had already won once. I forget which geddon it was, so I dont know if it was actually/used to be a rule, or if it was an isolated case...

It was epic though, everyone did awesome ^^

Has anyone got a link to the Sweet and sour eating contest? I really hope someone got that on film, I want to see me stuffing nearly an entire pizza down in 5 minutes and Lennon tackling the chilli powder! ~~You stank of curry after that Lennon!~~

i think that a different person should win each year... i mean, there's strict rules in the cosplay contest that we can't enter the same costume/skit twice, right? it's different events, but sorta the same concept.

Yeah though for the kamehameha you could do different moves, problem is that if you've won before people are going to know you from the last time and it'll more likely influence their vote...

Anyways back in topic, the Christchurch Mail today, has got a page with some photos of the cosplayers =D

It always amazes me how many cosplayers I didn't see through the weekend o_O

Don't want to moan or complain but Lennon should of really gotten through to the Final Round..
He had just as much cheers from the audience as Goku, M & L and Ryu..

Could be just being biased though..

Feel like dressing up as Ken next year and giving that sneaky Ryu a bit of a challenge =p

But now because of that contest now have a couple of heroes to look up too Mario and Luigi..
was too shy to ask for their autographs, but they were so made of win !!

Come back next year Luigi T__T

Omg! They came up to me on sunday and asked me to pose for a photo which of course I did. Wink

But we don't get the Chch mail where I live so I haven't seen the photos and don't know if I got in or not sad

Haha, aww Claire, if you really want their Autographs I can arrange that, those two are ex band members of mine, and real good friends.
I didn't actually realise who they were when I first saw them, but then I quoted Mario. and they turned around and said something, then they paused for a sec, while realising who I was, and then we had a glompfest. xD

i 2 am slightly biased and think they shouldve got in! ~~but i also wish i got into the final round but hey that wasnt going to happen~~

i think as to sound wise, because we were all next 2 each other cheering loudly it seemed more even with the others. to get a better idea of sound we should've been on stage or elsewhere in the room.
ah well maybe next year will be the year a cosplayer wins ^_^

But next year bet you anything that there is going to be thousands and thousands of 'Kens' to try and beat him.
Like a whole army of them, or M. Bison's .... sigh

Because think that people are really keen to beat that Ryu.

Maybe try and upload them at Natcol when the Teacher isn't looking or when you have free time..
Or just hit the computer/ Laptop with a stick..

I ran down to the Christchurch press center today and picked up a couple of copies of the Christchurch mail. I GOT MY PHOTO IN THE CHCH MAIL, I'M GOING TO BE FAMOUS! Woohoo
