So I know there are a couple of us out here - anyone want to band together on transport home? According to the Maxx website, there is NO public transport that will get us home from Henderson after 10pm, so that's that option ticked off lol. Getting there is easy, coz we can just catch the train from the city, seeing as we'll be there anyway for DO. It's just... getting home. XD

So yes: Ideas? And people interested?

Ideas:
Shuttle bus
Party Bus
Multiple carpools (and people chipping in for gas)(volunteers: Venom, Creature)

People Interested:

err.. I got a car, which I will use to get there... I might be able to drop people off... Or pick them up around the Howick/Botany/City area...

I do have to get about an hour earlier than everybody else, as I'm helping TEH DUCK to decorate and also rehearse for the performance.

Getting THERE isn't so much the problem - as we can just catch the train from the city, seeing as we'll be there anyway for DO - it's just the getting home part, hahah. *edits first post to clarify*

Dropping off home would be awesome, but I imagine there's probably more than one carload of people wanting lifts... *adds 'multiple carpools' to the list* Very Happy

Ohwait. Hold on.
I have a schedule and it says you can get back to the city on a train at 10.30~ And I think there's one more that's a bit later. There's also buses.

Yeah~ I also spazzed at the website when it said there was nothing coming back...

Butyesh.. I can go check schedule?

Basically, maxx website sucks.

Even if one was to train + bus home afterwards, it'd be past midnight by the time you got home, assuming the train from henderson to britomart takes 30min. D: Not to mention I think my parents'd get a bit edgy about me (and alex!) using public transport that late...

Ahhh~ I see.
Well I guess there'll be a bunch of people taking it to the city, so maybe it'll be easier to arrange transport there? //does not know how far anything is.
Also, might help to note for other people. C:

Butchyeah. Sounds like carpooling or something is needed. D8
Good luckk!

Also... my car will already consist of my gf (so that means... 2-3 extra people at the back)... She lives around Hillsborough (Around Mt Roskill/Greenlane)... And I live around Botany/Howick.

Anyone who wants a lift/drop off should live close to those places =3

EDIT: I love google maps...
LINK - This link basically outlines the route I'll be taking... If you live close to any of the routes I'm taking, I can drop you off... (Most of East Auckland is fine too... ie, Pakuranga, Howick, Bucklands Beach, etc).

Venom - if you're the only one driving, would you be able to run a carload to everywhere with a donation towards petrol? I'm heading back to town so I'm sorted, but if there are people who are teh stuck in henderson that might be a way to do it.

Yeah, that's okay.. but like I said, I only have the rear seats available as I'll have my gf in the front with me =/

So basically, 2 or 3 people... I'd like it if they lived in (or close to) the route that I'm gonna take to and from ACB and not take any money from people... But if there are people really stranded, I don't mind driving for an extra 30-60 minutes, provided that petrol expenses are accounted for.

I'd be interested. And I can drive~ Full NZ lisence baby, oh yeah.

If we do end up renting some kind of vehicle, I can probably drive enough as long as it is small enough to still count as a car/van~

@Paul: Let's rather not all blow up in flames and die.

Party bus is a BIG maybe as everyone would have to be in the SAME LOKASHUN, and the fact that the renting would cost money (I'm not sure how petrol will go). To drive an actual bus, you'd need a special license, and if it's small enough, I'd rather get myself or Greg to drive.

It was going to be $391 to and from city for le ball and that was a 21 seater. That's with a driver. xD Ohlol.
I'm pretty sure from what I read they're all around that price.
