Cosplay Plans 2009

So what cosplays are you guys planning for this year? What are you looking forward to the most? What are you doing for the competitions or for groups? Which of your cosplays will be the hardest or the easiest?

Myself?
Yamamoto and Ryohei are my easiest. I only need to buy the clothes for them (Red hoody, black tracksuit pants and black/white shoes for Ryohei, white button-up shirt, red t-shirt shirt, blue jeans and black sandals for Yamamoto). The only things I have to make are Ryohei's '02' headband and Yama's katana.

The one I'm looking forward to make is Altair. Mission Impossible yesprz <3 Hoping to get him done in time for Wellygeddon, though he may be a little hard to transport and a little hot to wear xD

Mine vary...
I have Miku and Quistis for Auck'geddon, with Mercy Harttigan.

Mercy is going to be the hardest, as its a Full Victorian 1850's Gown, with a custom fit head-piece...wearing it will be hard as well, as the Full Black Contacts will be a tiny bit weird to see out of...

Miku is the easiest me thinks, as all I have to do is adjust a blouse and make the skirt and armwarmers...

Quistis and Miku are for groups, FFVIII and Vocaloids.
No word on skits for any of them in the Competition, but Mercy is hopefully going to be in it, any chance to be able to walk around in Pitch Black contacts and scare small children! lol

Hmm

Well like mine says in my signature really, I need more fabric for Fai T^T 7m was barely enough for the coat (it's massive yay) but I need heaps more...D= So anyway my group which will continue on each year (or so Maddy and I are hoping)

Saturn, she's so cool should be the easiest to make thus last on my list but yayxors group <33333

Seymour I love him to death, really one of my favourite characters ever but fabric/hairstyle O.o not looking forward to styling that hair but should be well worth it (hopefully a group...well pair...well trio...well I dunno really. But might not be competition I unno yet)

hmmm

working on Kogami Akira atm though it looks really easy im having a little trouble with the sailor fuku ... but nothing i cant handle =D

the sakura one will take a bit longer but i already know how im going to make it i just have to cut out and sew the patterns on

then im also making the winter version of kogami akira =D

then theres also raichu its quite simple i think a white dress with detailed sleeves and a coat

dont know what im doing for sat auckgeddon probably rewearing something

and then there xiao qiao (dynasty warriors 5/orochi warriors) most probably my most complicated and msot expensive cosplay

the only thing im REALLY concerned about atm are PROPS kyuu

oh and kyoko but i just have to make the skirt and maybe buy/make the jersey but i think its easier to buy one XD

I'm currently working on my Rose cosplay...
I might make another of her outfits too.

I'll be getting my Tifa done hopefully.
Also, Hikaru for Valentines.
I need to do my Larvitar, and I hope to put together a Gokudera or Dino at some point.
Also looking for a wig to improve my Deidara...

Rikki you mind reader you, I was gonna start a topic like this LOL.

My list is funny, the only ones I'm 100% sure of doing are the ones coming last in the year.
Well here's my list anywhoo...

Chchgeddon:
Sat: Euphemia (Code Geass), Menos
Sun: Anti-sora, Kurapika

Wellygeddon (if I'm going):
Sat: Charmander?
Sun: Euphemia (Code Geass)

DO:
Kurapika (Hunter x Hunter)

Auckgeddon:
Sat: Infernape (Pokemon Gijinka)
Sun: Sailor Venus (Sailor Moon)
Mon: Rika (Higurashi)

So, in all. I has no idea.
I dont even know if I'll be entering any competitions this time round ^^; or if I'll have time to make many new cosplays (for chch and welly anyway)

All of them are groups, aside from Kurapika, (Hunter x Hunter anyone????) which is like the first cosplay I wanted to do. MUST DO IT THIS YEAR.

i'm probably not making it to wellygeddon but i'm going to make the costumes i was gonna wear anyway. <:

for christchurch i'm doing pit from super smash bros brawl on sun... as for sat, i haven't a clue. might be knight of the rounds!suzaku? idk.

also making knight of zero!suzaku and gino's knight of the rounds costume this year... and schneizer... but gino & schneizer aren't being worn by me. <:

because I'm going to be like the poorest of students this year I'm only going to get like 2 done.

I'm doing Ike sunday of Chchgeddon. Sat has Aizen for a part. and I'm thinking of doing Maiza from Baccano! sat too because it's so simple. You could almost say it isn't a cosplay.

If I could afford to welly I'd be doing Orange both days.

Auckgeddon depends on if my exams are finished in time, and if I have enough money.

And I'm sort of gunning to try and get to Sydney Supernova... Which would cool. But that really isn't going to happen...

EDIT: Angie if i go to DO (very unlikely) I'll do Lucifer!

If all goes according to plan, I'm doing seven cosplays this year, the easiest of which is going to be Kamina from Gurren Lagann (I'm wearing a black singlet top with the costume, though, so as not to be indecent xD)

Dunedin-thing I'm cosplaying Lezard Valeth to, just because he's the coolest character ever.

Kamina is gonna be one of my Wellygeddon cosplays, and both days of the convention I'm doing duo cosplays with Li-Bai, with her being the Simon to my Kamina, and then, on the Sunday, Alice from Shadow Hearts to my Shadow Hearts: Covenant Yuri. My SH duo is the cosplay I'm looking forward to the most right now, because Yuri and Alice are a painfully cute pair of characters, and because I get to attack people with puppets. PUPPETS.

At CHCHgeddon I'm cosplaying Tifa from FFVII: AC and Undertaker from Kuroshitsuji. I have nothing much more to say about either of these other than CRAZY NAILS AND COOL SLEEVES, YAY UNDERTAKER.

For all the random events throughout the year between the 'Geddons, I'm gonna be reusing all of my costumes from earlier on, especially Yuri and Tifa, because I don't have to bind for either of them (Yuri is freakishly curvaceous for a man, seriously).

Aaand...

Auckgeddon, I'm definitely cosplaying Vincent Law (<3333!!) on the Saturday, because he is THE COOLEST thing ever, and I get to have the exact right eye color for once, which'll make me feel good about my cosplay. <3 Monday, I'm definitely cosplaying Tidus from Final Fantasy X, 'cause I've got all the stuff to make it and I've been procrastinating on that costume for ages.

Sunday of Auckgeddon? I'm reusing Undertaker, Greil or Yuri on, depending on how I feel. ;D (And also depending on whether or not Rowan will bring out her Ciel Phantomhive cosplay for me. <3)

I plan to spend pre-chchgeddon dieing of Esther Blanchet (and other general financial woes)

post-chchgeddon, is like the moon to me. It'd be nice to get there in one piece and look back upon where I've come from in triumph, but who knows....

CHCH: Don;t know about Saturday. Haven't really thought about it. Sunday I'll be doing a Kuroshitsuji cosplay, probably Ciel, but it could change xD. I don't know :/

Wellington: I think my friends want to do Gijinka Pokemon on Saturday (Eevee evolutions~), and on Sunday I'm doing Clovis la Brittania from Code Geass.

Auckland I'm hoping to get to. Gonna look for a job to save up :/

If I manage 4 cosplays this year I will be proud of myself xD

No idea what im doing for DO but for AuckGeddon Sakura will definitely be my hardest especially if I do her Jade Country outfit.
Nausicaa shouldnt be TOO hard but I dunno, I havent had a really good look at her outfit yet. And im still not 100% sure if I will even do her.
Mikuru shouldnt be to hard. Or I might just buy it if I run outta time, that happens to me a lot x.X
I would prefer to make it though.

Waaah, scratch what I said yesterday about the Dunedin-thingy, I'm now reeeally conflicted about what I'm gonna cosplay, since it'll have to be a tad simple so I've got time to make the others. Right now, I'm thinking of doing Sakubo from .hack//G.U, 'cause s/he's cool, or one of Haseo's outfits... Yeeeah, I just started playing it the other day, and now I'm in love with the outfits.

I only have one major cosplay planned to do this year (all the others in my sig are pretty much done), and that's Kai. If I have that time to go to Auckland Armageddon then I'll wear that one.

I also plan to finish off the last bits and pieces of my other costumes. Like the belt and boots for Edward Elric (which I might also take to Auckgeddon).
