Fav Anime singers?

I was wondering whether to put this in Music or Anime, then I thought about VAs involved.

Here are some of my favs:

Chihara Minori (VA/signer, Nagato Yuki in Haruhi, Kagura in Ga-Rei, Chiaki in Minami-ke)
She is awesome. Strong, pwoerful voice, can melt plastic kettles and save turtles for pots.

One of the most popular ones. Has performed in Saitama (one of the biggest in Japan), otaku and non otaku fans alike. Her latest song, Shin Ai, reached #1 daily ranking for Oricon, the 2nd VA do do so iirc

VETERAN. Started in 1993, sang many many awesome songs. Always sings the first song at animelo (except 08 when she was sick). ONe song is enough to demostrate. Member of JAM PROJECT (awesome anisong band)

Many of you know her from Tsubasa. I don't. I know her from ARIA, but it's the same. Excellent singer, recently graduated with a music major in piano. Has potential.

2 good songs, rest ranges from average to dismal. Singles sell more than Makino's. Only popular because of the Kyoani hype

Mami Kawada is good as well she did most of the openings and ending for Shakugan no shana season 2 and an ending for onegai twins

yuria was the voice for ama from shuffle and various other things also a good guitarist and singer

Agreed! I can appreciate her voice-acting skills-that haruhi-Konata switch in Lucky Star? GOLD.-but her singing doesn't do it for me.

I think the guy who wrote for Spirited Away is good even though its not my usual type of music.

Truth, also Yoshiki Fukuyama was awesome in Busou Renkin's OP

Also Lia for many amazing songs, notably Clannad After Story's OP. She has such a great range.

Nami Tamaki's work for the SEED franchise was pretty good and abingdon boy's school (sp?) have done some great songs.

I wouldn't say that, first time I heard Toki wo kizamu Uta in its entirety I freezed up and nearly cried, as someone who had played Clannad before the series ended, I found it so beautiful and fitting for it. It was hauntingly and tragically beautiful.

That's what I feel everytime I look at the lyrics. But when I say her voice is "sex" I mean she's an awesome singer.

Origa sang this. Yoko Kanno wrote it.

I love Origa. All of the Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C songs she did are absolutely fantastic...

2nd Gig's Op was the best of the lot IMO. Though comparing them as shows, I preferred the 1st season.

Rise? Nah, I preferred Inner Universe.

Although as a series, I'll be honest, I haven't seen 2nd Gig yet. I've been meaning to though. I actually prefer the original films. They were beautifully twisted. Especially the second one.

Cuz I never got into PKMN and EXE songs. My first anime song that I liked was probably Last Regrets when a friend gave it to me.
