If you wish to sell prints & stuff you need a table~ :3
Basically it's an anime/manga artists event, they try to sell stuff from their tables. They hire the tables for the day~

Cosplayers bombard it too~ And run round~
Sometimes there's like a cosplay act of some sort which may or may not be organized by someone here~

It's sorta like a smaller scale geddon, except there are no celebrity guests, and everything being sold is artwork by the artists there - lots of pretty art! *o* No one has eftpos though (...seeing as these are individual people, not companies), so bring lots of cash. There are all sorts of anime-related events on during the day - like last year we performed the Lucky Star Dance, and there was a Pianist who played lots of different Final Fantasy Music, and Macy (the MC) was interviewing cosplayers all day. Very Happy

I think the thing I like about DO is that it's a lot more social than geddon - at geddon you're running round going "OMG MUST BUY THIS, THAT PANEL STARTS IN FIVE MINUTES, MUST GET THAT PERSON'S AUTOGRAPH! D:" so you end up so busy that you don't get to spend so much time with everyone else - but with DO, I think last year we spent half the day sitting in the lobby outside just talking - it was great! >w<

How does everyone get there?
I mean, I live in the city, so it's easy for me to get there, I'm just curious as to how everyone else goes about it. ._.
Also, I'm not sure how I feel about catching a bus with my girlfriend, us wigs'n'all.
At least I don't have to worry about being forced to give out 'fanservice' without my consent this time ._.

I'm getting there by bus - it's what we did last year, and we didn't get any flak. C: It's mostly just the later buses you have to be careful of - during the day it's pretty safe.
