i'm glad optimus prime was truly optimus in the movie (since i grew up with transformers, i had my doubts when the movie came out, but they did a good job in terms of FIGHT SCENES AND HOT CAMEROS!!! ) Shocked

too bad starscream didn't have a screechy voice. although i suppose it would be totally annoying since he talked quite a bit in the movie.... Rolling Eyes

We should like, discuss the original movie, so I can be all like OMG LOLZORZ OPTIMUS DIED AND THEY ALL CRYING AND STUFF. Seriously though that movie was interesting. A lot of it was very sub par american, but it just still ruled

I watched Transformers when I was about 6. My older brother had a huge stack of the action figure that actually transformed. I loved it to all kinds of peices, it was right up there with Captain Planet and My Little Pony. Then the anime version came out, and I boycotted it on the basis that Transformers do NOT GET SWEATBLOBS! It was just too silly.

And so I am boycotting the movies as well. Both of them. Any any others. Because watching them will ruin a huge swathe of my childhood memories. BOOM, gone. And I have no faith in Michael Bay that it will generate any new memories worth having, not even Bumblebee.

And I think it's deeply DEEPLY ironic that Linkin Park let their song "What I've become" be one of the main songs attached to it. Because it's apparently a "U.S.A!U.S.A!" kinda film and that song is well... not. :-D
