[ACP08] Cosplay progress

Just though it would be nice to see/hear how everone is doing on there costumes for the ACP if ur working on an outfit that is ^^
NOTE all my pic have sucky lighting XD
To the Pre-ACP i shall be cosplaying as Ume from Air Gear today i almost completed her Freaky DollPuppetThing XD just need to add the hair. i feed u a pic.

I also printed out the Sleeping Forest Embalm cut it to the right shape and glued it to a peace of cardboard. Feeds u more pic.

To the ACP its self i Shall be cosplaying as SnJ-Kisame from Naruto.
So far i have only started on the sword um more feeding u with pic...

Have now also made my SnJ Kisame top, Skirt, & Collar just need to add the clouds and join them all together ^^

Okay, seeing as I'm not going to the ACP (I'll try to next year though, guys! <3) I'll post my WCP cosplay progress.

At the moment? None. But here's what I have to do-

-Buy some non-permanent black hair dye and hair glue.

-Buy a lab coat.

-Figure out what colour tie the damn psychopath wears.

-Get the creepy laugh right.

Anyone who can guess who I'm cosplaying wins. What do they win? I dunno. Razz

Um... Well, my shirt is done~ I actually found it XD;;
Modifying it took some trial and error, but it looked good in the end... ~~now if only i could do something about my beefy man arms.~~

I just have to do the pants, find something for the belt... Anybody know where I can find sparkly fake silver/crystal gem things? Like what you stick on your phone to decorate it. I've been looking everywhere for it.
And the shoes are so EPIC. (;w; ) They make me a little bit taller XD But they were costly... $40.00, Jeezus.
For the gloves.......

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. D: *epic phail* I have the cuffs, I just need some really thick and cushiony (leather-like) fingerless gloves, but all I can find are thin lycra gloves... daymn. Maybe I'll just use them (>3>)

And I'm relying on Berry for the wig and Near costume... I LURVES YOU ;0;

Actually - if they're fingerless, just make rectangles? That's what I did for CCS Sakura at Auckgeddon, and in hindsight, I really shouldn't have as they were meant to be finger gloves, and I made them fingerless. >_> I'm rambling... But yeah - I guess you could just make a rectangle?

My progress... Nyuh. @_@ I bought all my supplies! xD I'm wrestling with the top at the moment - I made it, but I had to cut myself out of it 'coz I got the wrong zip. -_-;; I've done the boots though - that's harder than it sounds. They where $8 off Trade Me, and needed SERIOUS therapy. xD Then I had to paint the cute ebil snake designs on <3

I guess wings are next... @_@

lol well thanks to pyro's grand advice, i am able to find someone to commission my outfit in the Queensland area when i am in aussie

Rikku will be awesome beyond awesome

but u guys are all soooo talented, if i could sew and design i really would but time is a factor as is the acutal ability to make a costume let alone sew a hem :geek:

I only have a shirt and ribbon for my Kogal/Jap schl girl J-fashion thingy...
I need to get:
Cardigan
Skirt
Socks
& school-y shoes (no clue where to get any...)

Hummm....for school-type shoes that are reasonably cheap try the Number 1 Shoe Warehouse. I believe there is one in almost every major NZ city. Auckland has one at the Atrium on Elliot street. As for the other stuff....good luck? ^o^;;;;
I am sooooo stuck. XD So many costume ideas, so little time/money/ability to find decent wigs.

hey picc, u have any idea where id be able to access a decent sailor moon school girl outfit?

you know the blue skirt? white sailor shirt?
Number 1 shoes is great for shoes and i have the socks, just need the skirt and sailor type shirt thing ^-^

A pleated netball skirt might do the trick? Otherwise, you may have to have a dig around some places online or some shop around. For a sailor shirt, you'd definately need to be looking at home sewwing/ ordering online since I can't think of anywhere in NZ you could get one, gomen! ^_^;;

kol thanks, yes a netball skirt shall do fine, plus a pair of black skool shoes, a decent pair of cute sox and hmmm possibly a sailor t shirt in aussie me thinks
when i get my rikku cosplay commissioned i shall look at getting a decent sailor moon t-shirt done too ^-^ Razz

Still not 100% sure if I'm going this year.
Depends if I manage to make the costume successfully.
Not a complicated costume but I gotta go material shopping soon.
Never sewn clothes before either. o.o;

I saw a cosplay store in Japan.
It was huuuge.
I couldn't go in though, because of dodgy-ish costumes in the windows my parents wouldn't approve of.
I saw a few cosplayers walking the streets too! (In Akihabara)
