Spiky hair- Help...?
Post By Interstella. 08/01/09, 03:52 am

I know who I'm going to be for the picnic, but I need some help with my hair...

I have to figure out how to get my hair to stay spiky... straightening makes it look like Light's (Death Note), and hairjell just makes it sticky....does anyone have any ideas on how to make it spiky? It's about the same length of Near's (Death Note) at the moment...and kinda wavy... I needs help.

Use Got2B Glued. It's really good at getting hair to stay in place. You can buy it at the supermarket and comes in a yellow bottle.

For my Tsuna wig, what I did was~ I pinched together a bunch of hair with styling glue - So the ends of the spikes are coated. Then while still holding the spike together I sprayed it with hairspray. I held it in that position for about three minutes (not really, just hold for as long as you can). I do it to each individual spike 8D

I hope that helps.

For hairspray, I actually used cheap $2 hairspray. Really, you don't need super expensive special hairspray since we're using wigs not real hair X3

As you can see from my Tsuna wig: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3279/3015288490_4619146b23.jpg?v=0

The thing is, I'm not using a wig... So I need it to be able to come out at the end of the day.

Thanks for the help ^^

all the styling products ^^ mentioned can be used on real hair so their methods will work, but you will have to practice practice practice on styling it that way so you can do the styling just fine on the day.

Got2bglued and any freezegel/spray work really well but work in small amounts of it otherwise your hair gets too heavy and just fails to stay up

@Interstella>> Should still work. Just use the products mentioned.

Edit: Moving to Wigs, Hair and Makeup category.

what my friend did was ... and this will ruin your hair but it will make it stay spiked for the entire day at least my friends did when she cosplayed kaoru from dir en grey = super spiky poky hair

hairspray your hair and then use a hair straightenere on it almost immeadiately in the direction you want

it should work it worked for my mate

but as i said this will probably ruin your hair XD

This sounds weird but it works and it's cheap as hell......

Gelatin......yup Gelatin.

I used this one year and all you have to do it mix is up with some water, make your spike then blow wave it a little (or let is dry naturally but you have to hold the spike in place).

When I used it my spikes stayed in all day and it washed out really really easily in the shower (easier than hair Gel IMO).

I'm gonna have to go shopping.... Thankfully my character hasn't got TOO many spikes, nor are they pointed up... (he has spikes that go down, but they're still spikes...go figure)
