[WCB09] SO, how many of you DIDNT make your costume? By Keyaral. 07/01/09, 11:39 pm |
| Time has almost run out. The ball is less than three days away and all around there are poor souls pulling all nighters.
So hands up people, how many of you made your costume someone else's problem? How many of you are going to walz up on to the ball wearing a costume that looks fantasitc and was cpmpletely stressfree for you while in the shadows someone has bled cried and inhale unhealthy amounts of coffee just for you!
Here a place to post your undying appreciation or soul to them. Or you know just a mention and a thankyou message
So ill be the first person to put my hand up in shame. I being U_ne_korn's little sister and here is my list of Thankyous.
U_ne_korn-Thankyou for making my corset under layer, my general material shopper and also for planning my costume from pretty picture stage to a place where Mum can create it. Also for making the blood offering for my costume to the cosplay gods. Mum - Thankyou for sewing my skirt and finishing the dress and offering to help with the night. My friend Della - Thankyou for ninja-ring into her dad's work shop to create my head piece, arm things and other pretty stuff that can only be known as costume bling. Also my other sister Ange and her Boss Hil who help me arrange my expensive wig and are going to style it for me ^__^ (plus thankyous to a brother and dad who are going to help on the night too) Virtual cookies to you all. |

| Well it would be fair to say I haven't made mine xD
Mine was given/bought for me by my best friend Matt as my birthday present and Luke is making the only prop (sort of) that I need as his late B'day prezzy to me, so In all fairness, mine were owed to me XDDDD
But Thank you guys!
And then there's Miranda who is helping me with makeup and styling the wig (Not a present). |

| Boyfriend didn't. But he did suffer the whinging and whining of me making mine and thats almost as bad. He's mostly missed the whinging and whining of me making his though coz our hours have changed.
Baby Blister - make sure you thank MUM for the dress too. |

| I made all of mine in a fit of panic just before Wellygeddon last year ^___^ Though mum did drive me to spotlight and paid for all the material. |

| I designed the whole thing, made my t-shirt and bought the stuff, salvaged and mended the gloves and boots. Mum and Nana are going to sew on the hemming to the dress and I bought my coat from eBay. Thanks to Mum for putting up with my severe weirdness in Spotlight (got lost in the craft bit and had a laughing fit over a muffin tray), for agreeing to hem the dress and for not batting an eyelid when I announced that I was going as a boy in a dress. Thanks to Nana for helping with the hem, half paying for the coat and not asking questions. |

| I did make mine (still making it!), but I would also like to thank people that helped! I owe my mum soooooooooooooooooooo much for taking me all over the place yesterday in search of bits and pieces, especially that darn ellusive ribbon (WTF how come there is no more in Auckland? Porirua here I come), and for humouring me when I went into the same Spotlight THREE TIMES within 20 minutes because I kept forgetting things. And thank you to my dad for going back to Gordon Harris to buy a different colour ink for dying my Ciel wig. I really thought the one I bought originally was blue, not purple! |

| My white shirt and (probably will wear) shorts were brought. (Don't worry peoples, I'm sure they're formal enough...)
The rest was made and designed by meh~ I thank my Dad for letting me rummage through his suits for references. (I didn't use a pattern cause guessing is more fun! 8D And Mum for letting me terrorise her dining room for everytime I cosplay. (it turns into a battle field in there. The mines are the needles and hot glue gun 8D ) |

| I thank my parents for letting me turn the entire top half of the house into something resembling a ruffley lacy burial ground. STUFF IS EVERYWHERE. And occupies prominent positions what look like sacred tombs of LACE.
Also my sister for going on an eyeliner mission yesterday |
