Weathering/stopping slippy shoes?
Post By Guest. 06/01/09, 11:52 am

Recently bought a pair of heels to use as a base for some boots, and they're really slippy. o_o as they're heels, I'm prone to falling over anyway, so the slippiness doesn't help.

Any ideas on how to make the soles non-slippy? They just have no grip to them.

lol yes, I'm tall and wearing heels - sorry Becky. ;-;

Try those squishy seethrough "out-all-night" (I think they are called) sole grips that you stick to the toe area and/or the heel area of the shoe to help your foot grip and prevents blisters too
you can get them and similar ones from the chemist or kmart

thanks for the suggestion, but I'm talking about the actual sole itself. Razz I've already got some insoles.

Ooh whoops lol

Well this worked for me - I had to replace the outer soles of my wedge heels I'm reconstructing for a cosplay so I sliced the sole off and replaced it with a sneaker sole by hotgluing it Razz
Even though heel sole's arn't really removable it still works if you just glue/nail a new sole over the original.

It seems to work quite well but theres probably an easier way around making them less slippery..
