Here's the place for you to post pictures of your Cosplay, and have other members tell you what they think of it, helping you to create a better cosplay and hone your skills. Very Happy

Remember -

When Asking:

- post a reference picture of your cosplay. Post several, if you must. It's more than likely that some people won't know who your character is.
- post a picture of yourself wearing the costume. xD
- ask questions, but be respectful of your fellows and elders. ;)
- state whether the costume is 100% done - yep, you can ask us what we think of your progress so far as well. =3

When Critiquing:

- be polite. No "hah. Your costume = pathetic. I scowl down on you, loser. Shuuuun~~", but at the same time, be honest. Don't tell them what they want to hear, but - if their Cosplay is Amazing, with a capital, feel free to tell them it's amazing.
- be specific. What can they improve on? What do you think to the wig? Would it be better if you where to deviate from the original reference picture?
- don't just say you like it. Say WHY you like it. People spend, as I'm sure you know, hours, sweat, hundreds of dollars and occasionally blood when stabbing themselves with a needle on their costumes. Surely you can say a little more than "wow that's awesome"?

When Receiving advice:

- if the advice hurts, don't automatically yell at the person who gave the advice. Sometimes we have to accept that the cosplay wasn't as great as we thought it was... >_< And you can only get better from here, yes? BUT - if you think the critique of your cosplay was overly spiteful, PM a mod and we'll be more than happy to give you our opinion on the dispute, and if necessary deal with the nasty-comment-giver. ;)

--

in a nutshell - be polite, be respectful, post pictures, have fun and remember: keep in mind that you can only get better from here.

Happy critiquing~ What a Face
