Where are you from and where do you guys get your Cosplay stuff or the materials to make the costumes and stuff :).
Im in Whangarei so very little Anime stuff gonig on. Alotta mma and christian stuff tho :p

uhm,
Get cosplay materials at spotlight.. that's a given ofr just about anyone here (unless you wanna pay lots of like arthur toyt or whatever it's called etc) and if clothing stores have clothes that are cosplay worthy (without buying the whole costume..) then yeah..

I go to emporiums, op shops and little fabric stores. The last place I'd look is spotlight simply because they never have what I need at a reasonable price <<

I'm from Dunedin, I generally go to either Spotlight or Fabric Barn for materials and various op shops and Savemarts for cheap clothes that can be reused or modified for closet cosplays.

Savemart is pretty good. Also down here in Wellington there's Rebound aswell. Not sure if they have them around other places in NZ or not.

I'm in Wellington, with favourite emporiums and shops that have STUFF all over the place - nowhere is better for op-shopping than Napier, IMO. I check Spotlight, Global Fabrics and the Fabric Warehouse first then headfurther afield, hehe.

But yeah Spotlight is really good at hiding the nice stuff! It's great for basics, but finding anything other than cotton poplin, lycra and drill seems to be a bust most of the time. Blargh.

I should start going to other places like that new craft emporium in Porirua, the Fabric warehouse, etc but I haven't gotten serious about anything yet.

However, I do maintain that Evans's has the best felt in Wellington.

Im froms christchurch i usually buy my stuff from savemart and spotlight, sometimes tofts but man is that expensive for a secondhand shop.

That's my opinion anyway (I came to NZ from a big port city in England so everything seems quiet here)
