Going to make some Keyblades....

Because it looks quite easy to do :) well kinda.....so anyway.....
Would people buy em in NZ? or would i ahve to sell em over sea's?

I would ask if you guys would like one but i need to get all the materials first so i know which are makeable.
So far.... i can make spit bubbles into keyblades Rolling Eyes

Also, i'll make other props just for the heck of it.

One bigger project to do is the Buster sword Cloud uses.....Actually i may not do that.

But anythingelse maybe possible :).

Imho, the buster sword looks easier to make then alot of the keyblades... O_o'
But I havn't attempted either~ && I havn't spent much time on props. SO DISREGARD THAT.

I would think may be able to sell a few here, but that all depends on price & quality~

Well, not to brag but im quite good with wood works and graphics so the art design would be like, purrdy good.

Meh, any chance i can sell them at Auckgeddon next year? or whenever it is(I forgots sad

If yes then Cosplayers would get em for like. really cheap.

I've seen alot sell for 300 and 750(wtf!) Mine probably be like 100 0.- if lucky 150 -.0

Also, i might try making afew Sea-salt icecreams :p

To sell them there you'd be wanting a stall, I suppose?
That costs lotsa money, or so I've heard.
Try find Bills email & ask about that side~ ^^

Keyblades arnt that hard to make i should know iv got 5 of them XD. dosn't it cost something like 300$ for a stall or was that 500$ << ...

selling them umm i dont think you will do that good at 100$ for a keyblade as Iv sold some for 50$ and people were all like UHHH maybe...

I would give you all the pic i have of all the keyblades but there on my other computer cos i fail DX

theres a reason some keyblades are really pricey XD

Dunno if you could sell em at geddon - you could probably get away with it despite being unofficial merchandise because Square Enix doesn't sell them. Just FYI, though, I don't know about next year, but this year just been, stalls cost around $1000.

Keep in mind that a lot of cosplayers are in their early teens and don't have much money, so for many on here, $150 is a lot of money - they'd have to be damn good for people on here to pay that. (IMO unless the keyblade is made out of metal, I would *never* pay $750 for a keyblade. Those people are crazy. XD)

At geddon, though, might be another story - I believe that non-cosplaying fans of KH would be interested, and would probably be more likely to pay more.

Just my thoughts. :)

The thing is, pretty much all fan activity is moderately illegal. Fanart, fanfic, rp-ing, cosplays are all a violation of copyright. MOST folks look the other way, because its kinda free advertising for them. Others don't - Star Wars comes down hard, Anne Rice has banned fanfic based on her stuff from fanfiction.net. But those are still non-profit activities and therefore there is less to throw a hissy about. But if you sell stuff, you're making a profit and thats the sort of thing that lawsuits are made of.

I'm not trying to scare you off, I just think that people overlook the issue a lot.

Mmm - I was reading a coscom topic on the whole copyright thing -- and the general consensus was "as long as no one is manufacturing an official version then you're not likely to get sued".

Lol well for a local sale i was gonna sell em for 50 anyway lol.
Ive mostly seen online ones sell for like 300 US.

I does wanna see too puppyeyes

Also.....is there anyone close to northland who is good at painting???

Because im afraind i'll ruin my first haha.

Yeah. American cosplayers are more likely to spend up large because the average age for cosplayers is significantly higher there. Most cosplayers here are young and can't afford the prices... But then again collectors and regualar fans may pay out, as Jess said.

I'd be interested in seeing photos though ^^

the only ones i have pic of are Kairis and Rikus but there the un-finnished ones. as some ppl know i cosplayed as KaiNami & i was ment to cosplay as Riku back at WG07 but after i found out you couldn't use wood i droped Riku. i was ment to finnish them but i keeped making other things and forgot about them XD then i moved over to Aus so they never got finnished, my brother ended up selling them as they were << he's a Fag like that... unless i just cant find them <<

No depends on what im making i use differnt things. mostly wood only for sharp points i use foam or paper-clay stuff XD
