Cross Punisher - Need people who know Japanese

Hey guys, I have a little problem that I was hoping some of you could help me with. I'm planning to cosplay Wolfwood from Trigun at Chch Armageddon 09, and of course am making the Cross Punisher weapon that is pretty much his signature thing. I've found some very detailed plans as to how to construct a pretty decent version of said weapon, but there's a minor problem.

The plans are fairly easy to follow, but some of the pictures have Japanese text I suspect is additional instructions. I could of course be mistaken, but if there is some info I could use, it would be nice to know about it before I start sawing up wood and such. So: if anyone can translate anything from the images found here, I would be incredibly grateful chuu~!
