Make up Tutorials.. By Chiritsu. 24/11/08, 05:41 pm |
| I was wondering if anyone had much about makeup tutorials.. Personally, i have just bought the damned stuff and tried my best using it haha. (after reading the white foundation thread.. i'm still a little stuck on if i can get it here in Palmerston without having to go on trade me..)
I know that Asian Magazines do have the "How to's" for hair and make up but This is New Zealand and frankly (frank.. hehe) it sucks..
Side note - $3 Japan is a great place to buy cheap and useful make up and makeup tools (Auckland next to borders and or burger fuel area) |

what kinda of specific things were you after? :)
-edit- trashy/girly magazines are also useful for this kinda thing. :) I've got a few up on Trade Me at the moment, heh heh. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?ed=true&id=188794975 [/end shameless self plug] |

what kinda of specific things were you after? :) My internet here (Campus internet) Doesn't allow youtube.. I saw some on Deviant art but I'm just looking mainly for the ones you can find in Asian magazines.. not really anything in particular but something to give me a general idea of what i can do with what and how i can adapt these tools to my liking |

| Limecrime used to be fantastic for makeup tutes - I think her new site is doedeere or something...?
Yes. Doedeere.com but it's laid out like a blog, so it might take some digging. Lots of really colourful stuff used here, very FRUiTS-y. |

| yeah... it'll be the exchange rate that's done that - they'll just be blaming it on GST. [shakes fist at general economic turmoil at the moment] |

| Whenever I cosplay, I usually always use a white or cream coloured eyeliner on my lower eyelid, and curl my lashes with an eyelash curler. It makes your eyes look much larger and more feminine, which are the general characteristics of anime eyes. 8D
Hope that helps - just THROWING IT OUT THERE. O__o XD |

It also helps to remove any dark rings. (And under the dark rings for L would probably make it stand out more.) Putting some on your browbone also helps your eyebrows look higher up. |

| 1950's-Pin-Up-Girl eyeliner works well to make you look feminine, and it makes your eyes look huge, and a really nice shape
Liquid eyeliner is your friend ( With Practice )
Did an SFX / Stage Makeup artistry course a while back, so if there's anything specific you need to know, just ask |
