| No, sorry. ^^;; BUT GUYS. OHMIGAWD. NEWS FLASH: NEVER BIND YOUR ENTIRE TORSO FOR A COSTUME. AND DON'T ASK WHY I DIDN'T REALIZE THIS UNTIL NOW. (I'm still just a child! I'm allowed to make silly judgements yet! :<) |

| I don't know but I bandaged my boobs (C cup-damn) and they lasted pretty well but I must say, it will restrict the activities that you can do. For instance, I played DDR and it slide down so I had to fix it up in a Burger King toilet cubicle. I took about an 35-40mins. I'd say that tape is a good way to go... Odd as it may seem, it won't so dangerous I think. |

| I found that if you buy one of those really tight singlet with built-in bra (those ones for sports) thingys.. it pretty much completely flattens your chest and you don't hav to worry about it at all. Just don't lean back when posing.. or you will see boobs. |

| I combine bandages and tape. The bandages are good to start with but are lumpy and fall down (been there, hated that) Tape works AMAZINGLY but hurts like heck when you take it off (been there REALLY hated that) Sooo, try using a layer bandages as a base to start flattening your chest and to protect your skin then use tape to finish the job. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't fall down beautiful... or is that handsome? (BAD JOKE) |

| Heh, that's a good idea. My friend used tape and apparently had blisters all over xD. (Over her boobs, that is. Sounds absolutly wonderful.) |

| *ouch*
From a completely outside view (being male aswell), I would have thought the suggestions of the sports top with bra built in, and bandages/tape over that would have done the trick. The bra should provide some support whilst still being able to flatten to a small extent, plus taping/bandaging over that means the tapes on the fabric, not directly on the skin, so when you pull it off it's just a matter of peeling it off the fabric, and maybe a small amount over the shoulders depending on how you do the wrapping. Theoretically anyway. :p |

| Question: are you guys using duct tape or sports tape? Coz sports tape shouldn't be so bad, as it's designed for skin. Or so one would think, at least. >.> Grah, must practise binding for Fai... |

| It might be designed for skin, fo' sho, but it's still a beautiful and wonderful person to take off, especially when used on such a huge surface area. Ow. Word, I still hurt thinking about when I first tried it. |

| Fair enough. Band aids are designed for skin, but they still hurt like a beautiful and wonderful person to take off, so that makes sense. XP |

| Well sports tape is made for skin but the thing is often blisters form under the tape. Then when you come to take it off, even though it's made to come off clean it rips at the blisters, leaving scars. |

Re: Women: Flattening the chest. By Guest. 06/11/08, 12:47 pm |
| Haha. Works for some, is less effective for others. XD
I've got C-cups, and the sports bra + two rolls of bandages only brings me down to an A-cup. I find that taping these babies down, then bandaging over that gets me flatter, mainly 'cause the tape helps them stay in place rather than having them shift under the binding/bandages fall or roll down due to whatever I'm doing XD (Lol. Stretch arms up, boobs shift. Bend over, bandages roll down, etc. Gets worse when I carry bags. 8D)
Then again, it varies from person to person. *shrug* All I can say is try it out long before the event/con. Go around the whole day in your bindings, see how it holds up, and whether it's comfortable. XD Better to find out one way of binding is uncomfortable ages prior to the event/con than during. :3 |

| I'm going to test out some new techniques, but the one I've used and trusted is sports bra + bandages + sports tape.
First sports bra. Then use one roll of bandages and then tape it to the bra. Repeat as desired. I also wear a singlet over top to help smooth it out a little. |

| Putting tape directly onto it is NEVER A GOOD IDEA. I had big bruises on mah skin. T 3T Wear a sports bra, then go over the top of that, if possible! |

Uh... NEVER BIND MORE THAN YOU HAVE TO. After Auckgeddon, I had massive tears in my skin, and lots of tape gum (which is reeeally itchy) from binding most of my torso. The binding hurt too much to take off all at once, too, and so it took me four days to remove it all. |
