As IcyRose pointed out to me we should probably have some information for everyone that's staying there so there are no problems with checkin.

Location:
Auckland Central Backpackers (ACB)
229 Queen Street (Corner of Queen St and Darby St)
Auckland
Phone: 09 358 4877 or 0800 BASE NZ (0800 2273 69)

Driving to ACB:
Head to Queen Street, this is the main street of Auckland and is marked on every map. Driving down Queen Street, turn left onto Darby Street. This is a smaller street between Victoria and Wellesley Street. You'll see our doorway 5 metres down Darby St, and there is a carpark 20 metres further down Darby Street.

Booking Details:
Group name is booked under: Jp Wise / Cosplay NZ
They only have your forums names since that's what I had. So when you check in you'll need to give them that name to start.

The two private rooms (one with ensuite) are the first arrivals, they know you're arriving before everyone else, and I'll be arriving on Friday midmorning/midday to check in and pay the bill for the stay.

If there's any problems contact me on cellphone - 021 70 33 57. I'll be in and out of coverage up until the Friday morning, after that I'll be on the road down to Auckland, so can be reached if you or ACB need to reach me.

Other than that, here's the schedule. See you all there. :)

Just a warning for anyone that hasn't checked in yet, apparently there's a $20 key bond to get a key to the room. It wasn't mentioned along the way so I didn't know to tell everyone about it beforehand.

It's $20 for the key bond, payable if you get a key to the room, you get it back once you return the key.

OK, I've been slack since I got back and hadn't got round to working out the figures yet.

Behind the scenes in the planning we managed to get a concession on one of the rooms that Lennon and myself intended to use to buy food while we were there, but since everyone was in and out and it never got organised the leftover moneys just sat in the other account.

Yeah, a couple of hundred. Would have been good if we'd managed to organise using it for food, but it never happened. So I've worked out the duration of stay and % of total paid. Got reminded by the people trying to organise the Wellington dorms. Razz

OK. Just sorted through the pile of lost + found from when we checked out of the dorms.

FOUND:
Nikon Camera Case - Black - no camera inside
Half Fan of Bobby Pins + several safety pins.
Most of a pack of Plastic Forks.
One pack of Index Labels.
One Bag of Assorted toiletries - womens.
One XS size black hooded jersey.
One combination padlock.

That's it, not of it's particularly high value, but if anyone wants something back just let me know.

ummm.. i bought a small pair of scissors for something. no idea if i still have them, they were only cheap tho, so if it was me don't worry about it.

as for the combination padlock. Razz

yeah, i enjoy a challenge, started fiddling with it just before i wrote the post, then finished with it a bit after the post. If noone claims it (tell me the combination to proove it! Razz

) i might keep it for when i travel. :)
