| They're making a movie of the Sands of Time! x_x -dies-
I'm actually looking forward to it, oddly, if simply because they've got a huge number of award-winners doing both cast and crew work.
Oh, and if the movie's well received, they'll be making movies of the other games in the trilogy, I've heard. x3
So, anyone else looking forward to it?
It's going to be out in 2010, I've heard. |

| The one thing that bugs me about it is the American casting. I know why they did it- with a sweeping American demographic pretty much running screaming from any middle-eastern references, or instantly associating them with the bad guy- but even the Indian princess character is being played by an American (who definitely looks white).
Still, as you say there's some big names going into it, so hopefully it'll turn out alright, culture raep aside. |

| Hmm, in any case, even if they don't look quite authentic as their nationalities, I've seen pictures of the guy playing the Prince in costume (which seems derived mostly from Two Thrones, as opposed to the game they're sourcing the plot from), and he does actually look very accurate with the Prince in-game, if a tiny bit pale.
So, at least we can sleep safely knowing that the characters look at least faithful to the design, if not the nationality. |

Kind of 50/50 on this there is so many Game based movies that turned out really-bad The Super Mario Brothers, Street Fighter ..Tomb Raider...(list goes on )..
But Hopefully they will perform Justice on this more mature version of Aladdin.. |
