I must say.
It was quite an intense watch >__>

I also have the manga but the story is alot different than the series.

Anyhooo.
I'll try to explain it as best as i can without giving the story away.
Well.
It starts of 2 teenaged school kids try and be heroes by saving a bum at the trainstation on the traintracks..
They end up owning themselves in the process,
After, they then become part of a game set by gantz.
I'm not entirely sure what gantz is but what i figured was its a guy in this giant ball thing that sends living-dead people on missions to kill aliens.

I'm not really one for sci-fi type animes.
But it was rather entertaining, exciting, FUNNY, gorey, action packed and a tad kinky.
And the range of characters are great too, and you can relate to most of them.

The story gets better as it goes along and has an awesome twist at the end.

I think you all should watch it.

NAO.

You can find zee all episodes <a href="http://www.kumby.com/category/gantz-episodes">Here</a>

They're all dubbed.
And I know most of you hate the cheap tacky American voice overs that never suit the characters, but ive watched it in Japanese and English, and i must say for a change, the English one was way better.

If you like the anime and wish to buy,
You can find it at JBHIFI
On Trademe.co.nz
And ferrit.co.nz

Or if you prefer
Amazon.com
(tends to be alot cheaper even including postage, but you would need a multi-regional dvd player)

And you can find the Manga <a href="http://www.onemanga.com/Gantz/">Here</a>

The only place I've seen that has the manga was on
Ebay.com
and
Amazon.com

I'm not sure if they sell it at borders.

Has anyone seen this before?
Do share your opninion ^_^

Was pretty cool, the anime seems a bit short and simple in comparison to the manga (here) which got far more interesting.
All in all I liked it.

Yes, I must agree with you there.
The manga was far more interesting but the anime was pretty good too.

It all depends if you like things short and simple or long and complexed.
And if you can be bothered to read the manga.
Alot of people get lazy and resort to the anime first

guilty there, watched the anime first, which was all good, but I was somewhat dissatisfied with the ending...
then I heard about this "alternative" ending that was the manga... so I decided, what the hell, lets go read the manga as well...

damn I hate manga... I lose track of time and read the stuff for way too long...

Didn't really like the anime when I first watched it (I only actually watched the missions and only 3 of the 4 in the anime), loved the manga though after I started reading the bits after the first 3 missions. I liked the cast that got introduced after mission 3 and felt that was when the story was getting better after that point.

Overall I like Gantz for the missions, I like the equipment used, I like the whole alien hunting aspect and I like the fact that ANYONE can die. Although it really feels more like a weekly manga than a bi-weekly one (to be fair it started out weekly) and as a result it comes off as being pretty much slower than Bleach in terms of plot progression and even fight scenes, but on the plus side, there is action ALL the time.

I also seem to be like the only person who likes Hikawa the Host Samurai.
