Steampunk?

Since I couldn't be bothered making a new outfit in such a short space of time - I've gone a different route and decided to match a friend of mine - we'll be going in our own created steampunk outfits! Though I know this isn't really cosplay or anything, as it's not a particular character, I'm quite looking forward to it! We're only going one day though - still haven't decided which either!

Anyone else interested in this particular genre?

I am making an Original Designed Steampunk outfit for Welly-geddon, as I was gunna run out of time for Auck'geddon so had to make something that took less time to make. Hehe

Technically it's still cosplay - the japanese call lolita and such cosplay. XP But yay! I love steampunk! I did my character design for design based around steampunk. ^w^

Wow! That's really neat! I really like her corset and the colours you've used. My outfit is leaning a bit more towards the Victorian side...I'm in the midst of making a kind of...small top hat to go with it. Though I actually think that my friend is going to look very Amish when he's done with his outfit! Haha!

Yeah that would be great! I'm always interested to see people's takes on the style, it's so diverse and so many things can be called steampunk haha - I'm just hoping I get the mix right as it's different to mucking around with your mates to wearing something in the public eye haha I bought an abolsutely epic fob watch off trademe (god I love that site) where the entire thing is clear and see through bar a tiny strip around the edge, so you can see all the gears working inside it :3
