Good webcomics By StabbyJoe. 12/09/08, 02:54 pm |
| Trying to remember all the good webcomics I have read at some stage... Making a database here people can contribute to of all the good webcomics they read and learn about other people's webcomics of choice :albino:
Questionable Content Apple Geeks Mega Tokyo Bunny Something Positive Cyanide and Happiness
Everyone should read QC at the top of the list, there... DAMN GOOD. I read lots of megatokyo - very addictive and really good, too. Bunny is more of a smart funny... I like it. And cyanide and happiness is a really light comic style thing full of puns and horrible things that really shouldn't be funny... but are. It's horrible. But good. The others are good, too... but, yeh. READ QC. 'Tis good. (look at the index page and compare it to page 1 - the art gets MUCH better, so don't worry)
Can't believe someone hasn't made this thread before me...
:batman: (damn this forum has cool emotes) |

| VGCats! And that one, with the guy and the dude...Main character is a horrible womaniser who single-handedly keeps the comdom industry in business. Real kitschy name...grr. Haven't read it in a while. Slugworth Academy was good last I read it, but again - haven't read it in ages. |

| http://lackadaisy.foxprints.com/- So good it's not even funny. About a bunch of cat anthro characters in a liquor-banned St Louis who operate/ are involved with a speakeasy. The art is phenomenal, the writing clever and funny- the only downside is due to the extreme high quality of the comic, the updates can be slow.
http://www.straysonline.com/ - Haven't really followed this very far, but again amazing art and very good quality. |

| Woops, that was me. x_x Forgot to log out of my brother's account, which I knew I would..
Also, I've heard PennyArcade is also funny, but I didn't really think so. Might just be my sense of humor though so it's worth checking out.
Edit: Oh the hyphen attached itself to the Lackadaisy URL so you'll need to delete it to access the homepage... xD But do! It's such a treat compared to some of the rubbish that passes for webcomics around. |

| Oh I love MT and Cyanide and Happiness xD
Some others I regularly read would be wasted talent- http://wastedtalent.ca/ which is usually pretty funny. Also Ctrl+Alt+Del which I thought would have been mentioned already- http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/ |

| I DO NOT SEE MISTAKES OF YOUTH UP THERE :O
MoY is a parodic webcomic to anime and manga in general, but the jokes are Hayate no Gotoku level. ;) Give it a go!
http://www.mistakesofyouth.com/index2.php?id=introduction
Ah, I should warn you, some of them are rated 'mature'. >_> But funny nonetheless. |

Re: Good webcomics By Grassangel. 13/09/08, 12:49 pm |
| http://www.kawaiinot.com/index.php 4koma styled comic, mostly about food it seems, although about inanimate objects. Humorous.
http://xkcd.com/ Geek-related jokes. Please don't expect high-level art, it is only stick figures.
http://www.misfile.com Uhmm, the first couple of pages are confusing, and none of the pages are inked, but the art's reasonable and the plot seems to be part Ranma 1/2 and Initial D plus and unidentified portion of something else. Fun, if nothing else, plus there's some yuri fanservice.
http://pandect.comicgenesis.com/ Pandect isn't updating as regularly as it used to... but there is still 400 something pages of it to read. It's kind of hard to paraphrase what it's about without it sounding lame, but it's got shape-shifting animals, lots of backstory, shonen-ai-ness and some evil snakes. Plus some very cute characters. More serious than the rest I've recomended though.
And YEAH! Mistakes of Youth is awesome. Even if you aren't aware of some of the series mentioned, Rets (and wildarmsheero) is usually funny anyway. |

| My school work load means I can't read any of your wonderful suggestions, but I can offer one.
http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/
Gunnerkrigg Court is about a girl called Antimony, who attends a boarding school that is ten times weirder than Hogwarts, inhabited by robots, ghosts, tic-toc birds, a possibly lesbian telepathic couple, one of whom is demon with no eyes and the other is Polish girl. It seems pretty certain that some of the other students are suicidal fairies and Antimony's stuffed toy is possessed by... well we're not sure what he is yet, but he likes to cause trouble. It's brilliant, but I have NO IDEA what's going on! |

someone else reads Misfile!
And damn the OP! ive now had to read Megatokyo, its been days, and im only up to page 717!!
Anyway, i read a whole load of webcomics, even got their own little folder in my bookmarks Ones that I think people might enjoy are,
http://www.collectedcurios.com/sequentialart.html Its a bit odd, but I find it funny. Its a bit geeky, and is about to go through a story arc which should be good!
http://www.shortpacked.com/index.html Yea, i just find this funny as the main character is more of a geek then me....
http://fanboys-online.com/index.php awesome! the 3 characters are fanboys(/girl) of Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft repectibly |

The suffering (and not so much goodness) that is waiting for your favourite webcomic to update in the middle of a major plot arc. Especially when you have little to do but sit there and hit refresh... |

http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/03/19/ this does feaure some delightfully filthy language, but I figure somebody besides me will appreciate it. And I'm not insinuating anything by posting it here, I just think it's funny. CLICKY CLICKY |

| http://www.friendlyhostility.com All about the dysfunctional relationship between Collin and Fox (warning, boylove). Very funny, though it gets more serious more recently. Collin is awesome. xD
Also: http://boymeetsboy.keenspot.com/ More boylove (obviously) - centres around the life and times of the two main characters. Funny and loveable. It's actually where Collin and Fox first turned up in the world of webcomics before they got their own comic. |
