| I'd say get the slip on black shoes then go out and get yourself some black fabric - either upholstry suede/leather type stuff or vinyl depending on whether or not you want shiney. Make long attachments and sew them to your slip-ons. Make laces hole. If you make the tongue seperate, you could get buy without having to do complicated fitting too much. Upholstry suede is easy to sew - not as forgiving as cotton but not as evil as everyone says vinyl is.
Although looking at those boots - they should be available if you have the cash to spend. I got some very much like those from the Warehouse years ago and boots are still in style. Should be able to get some cheap-ish ones coz winter is nearly over. Even if you got some with lacing holes all the way to the toes, you could use black/no laces on the foot and white up the shin.
EDIT: if your feet are the right size for them, they could probably be couriered/ferried up. I know JP is driving up.

| I'd say boot covers would look best, personally. |

| If they're the little ballet-style ones that do blend into socks quite well, then go for it. Otherwise, have you thought about wearing the socks over the shoes? You'll still have lines where the shoes end, but it might be a bit less obvious. |

I sees my name! :) But um, yeah, I am driving up, possibly leaving on Sat, most likely Sunday tho (this week - 4/5 days away), so if you can get stuff to me I'm fine with taking it up with me, just as long as it's not horrendously bulky as I've got a few things to take up and something in Palmerston North to pick up that the folks bought on TradeMe. |

| Didn't mean to volunteer you JP, I was just pointing out that things can totally be organised! People often panic about organising things from a distance and it's really not an issue. |

| Thats kind of you, but I don't think they will fit me. I'm like size 11. It makes buying shoes horrible. I actually found damn near perfect boots -in a size 7. I nearly cried having to leave them coz the sizing was so wrong v_v I think I'll make covers then. I'll try finish that this weekend! |

| Oh, and also, I accidentally incorperated part of the top in the seam.. So i had to unpick it and the fabric didn't like that and it went all hole-y in one place. I sewed it up but it still looks a bit silly. Its not noticable unless you look properly, and i'm not entering the cosplay comp.. So should I remake the top or will no-one care? XD |
