Join the Dancing Wave at the Opening Day Festivities

Tempo explodes into action on Sunday, 28 September! Everyone is invited to take to the streets of downtown Auckland, engulfing the city in a giant dancing wave as part of the Opening Day Festivities. Meeting in QEII Square from 12:30pm, the streets will be engulfed in a giant wave that twirls, pirouettes, leaps and does the robot (i.e. whatever movement you like) up Queen Street to Aotea Square. The festivities continue with New Zealand’s biggest Rueda, a Salsa-style group dance led by Cuban dance experts Vivio and Greydis, and then an outdoor group BodyJam class hosted by the notorious Gandalf Archer from Les Mills. Opening Day events are FREE and we encourage you to bring all your friends and whanau out for a fun-filled day of dance and celebration for the launch of Tempo 08, New Zealand’s Festival of Dance.

Maddy you know I'd come, but I'll still be sleeping at that time. Plus I will have been out the weekend before so pushing my luck isn't good X3 specially since my dad is buying stuff for my weapon.

Haha yeah. We haven't been out all that much yet, settling into Uni and whatnot. And I can hardly afford the prices at some of the places we've been to lol! Poor students ftl.

But I do prefer a night in with drinks and friends rather than out, I'm just that kind of person =3
