Taobao orders By monochromaticsky. 03/03/13, 08:09 am |
| I'm just setting up a topic to ask whether people are going to having any taobao orders done, I want to get a wig ordered for myself and my sister but i'm not sure of the process, i've asked some friends but i'm still confused. Would it be better to go with a group order or have one for just my sister and self. Comments/ Info would be appreciated as I really want to get the wig ordered/posted quite early so i can style it a bit further for the cosplay i'm planning but any help is really appreciated |

| I use the agency called TaobaoSpree (taobaospree.com I think is their website) and you can just email them with a list of stuff you want, there's a page on the website that shows you the layout for the email (: Or you can also fill in their excel spreadsheet page, but I always find those confusing ...
It's best to order with a small group of people, because the base rate for shipping is around $25, so you can split the shipping price with several people that way (:
Generally the start of the order to the end of the order takes around 3-4 weeks (:
If you have any questions feel free to ask, I've done heaps of Taobao orders |

| uhhh, 4-6? Too little you don't get the benefits of cheaper shipping (although I've ordered by myself before and the shipping wasn't too bad), and with too many people the order gets out of hand, heaps of items, things go missing and what not. |

| Hmmm good point, do you think if i'm unable to get a group that big that i should take advantage of the fact that I will probably have to pay the full or half amount and order more wigs? than compared to ordering only one and paying the shipping. |

Re: Taobao orders By Pura. 04/03/13, 01:37 pm |
| Yeah, definitely. Like, if you order one wig you'll be paying $25 shipping, but if you order two then it's like $12.50 for each wig (Although the price goes up as the weight goes up, it's like $25 for 0 to 2.5kg and then another $5 for the next kg, that sort of thing, but that's not accurate, just an example of how the pricing works ) |

| also don't forget to take into consideration the exchange rate - some agents have a set exchange rate- The agent fees - usually about 10% Paypal fees- Last time i checked they were about 4%? and also keep in mind the customs GST limits just incase it gets picked up coming through, most agents will split parcels or lie about value though so its ok ^.^
bit of advise also keep a paper copy or Links, prices etc for instances when there website may be having differculties |

Re: Taobao orders By Pura. 06/03/13, 09:48 am |
| Paypal is really simple to set up and safer than using a credit card (make sure to tell your dad that ) and so so handy. I love websites that have Paypal, all I do it log in and click buttons, whereas otherwise I'd have to find my debit plus card, put in my card details, etc etc.
But yeah, even with agency fees and stuff it really never turns out to be much and it's still way cheaper than buying wigs off eBay. A $49USD wig on eBay I bought off Taobao for $17NZD |

| it will work out cheaper in the long run, we're just warning you now of things we have encountered as both of us have run quite BIG orders in the past and remember these agents are set up to deal with international customers so language barrier shouldnt be a problem although you do get some adorable attempts at english at times.. |

| I know Taobao, but its pages all in chinese. some of Taobao agents are available to buy costume, wigs at low price. I have used Shopitchina for several times. But order process needs 3-7 days.

You can find a taobao agent to help you buy it,such as pabbos and other well known sites. |

| Ans of course, you could buy from China online wig shop, such as bonhoo.com, you could just pay with the credit card. |
