Where to start...I suppose hi! would be a good start

I'm a new New Zealand resident (been living here 2.5 years, was just approved for residency), I'm Scottish-American if people are curious.
Now that I'm fairly settled into life in NZ, I'm looking to start in on the hobby I love and meet people through it.

I've been known for steampunk for awhile, which I still love. but I also want to get back to cosplaying...I tend to do crossplay, just because most of my favourite characters wind up being male. (I blame this on being a tomboy).

I've crossplayed The Joker for a photoshoot (need to track down those photos), Arthur from inception and Arthur Dent from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (as seen in my avatar) to name a few.

I am actually going to be working on a Rocket Raccoon cosplay next (I found the PERFECT fabric for ears and a tail yesterday) because, he's bloody awesome! and I love raccoons.

I had planned to have things ready for Armageddon, but am pretty doubtful I'll be attending due to a severely injured foot (I am an avid Scottish dancer/burlesque performer and a damaged it during a performance) and being in a moon boot for awhile. So, I hope to find more events to dress up for :)
