Help finding wig! By Sas_it_up. 16/12/13, 03:45 am |
| Wondering if anyone can help me out here. We're having a new years party and I'm looking for a suitable wig to style for this lil cutie:
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_eW8Q9yqgSTM/SZOSUuxw5BI/AAAAAAAAALY/w783U4hQlTs/s400/flintstones_pebbles.jpg
Yup, Theme is 'P' so I chose Pebbles Flintstone.
My sis and I have exhausted most of the emporium shops round the manurewa/manukau area and not found any suitable wigs. I did also check some websites earlier (with no luck), but with the time now running short, I'm wanting to purchase ASAP and not have to worry if it will arrive it time.
So, Has anyone seen an appropriate wig anywhere, or perhaps have one they're willing to sell? (I'm not fussy about quality at this stage, just need something orange that I can style appropriately).
Otherwise, the only orange wigs I've seen anywhere are the bob style ones. I was thinking I could always buy two and cut one up to add bits to the other. Any advice/suggestions on taking this route would be greatly appreciated. (I've not really done much with wigs before beyond wearing them!) |

| This might be a long shot, but I had a look on trademe for you. http://www.bidbud.co.nz/673972768 For that one you could flatten the spikes, except for the back few for the ponytail, and style it to resemble Pebbles' hair.
Otherwise I saw this gorgeous looking wig http://www.bidbud.co.nz/676009136 but may be a bit expensive?
There is this... pumpkin wig, which might work if you can style it to what you want. http://www.bidbud.co.nz/674381619
I hope that helps a little! |

| Thanks for those :)
Yea that second one is gorgeous, but yea, maybe a bit expensive/long for all the styling/trimming I'd need to do. It might suit my sister well though (she's doing Pippi Longstockings and at this stage resorting to using her own hair).
I have actually gone ahead and bought a couple of the orange bob wigs and am playing round with them now. I think I might be able to make them work (and If I ruin them it's ok cos they only cost $7 ) |

| You can try Ebay?... http://www.ebay.com/bhp/pebbles-flintstone-costume Though I actually google search Pebble Flintstone wig, and seemingly comes up with a whole lot of costume sets. I then googled orange wigs. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/orange-wig I hope that maybe helps? Though sounds like you are kinda alright atm.
