EXTRUDED POLYSTYRENE (XPS) High density foam. Excellent for prop weapons! By Samalini. 18/08/14, 06:55 am |
| Hi all I've found a source for some extruded polystyrene foam. Bunnings are only now stocking it in single sheets 1200 x 600 mm - 30 mm & 50 mm thick. Its labelled as Knauf Industries Multi-use foam board. The 30 mm thickness is $15 and the 50 mm is $24.
Hope this helps any one looking for this stuff, I know I was searching for ages! |

| Nice! I know the different colours indicate different cell sizes, this looks like it can cut easily?
And yeah, been watching it used to make fast prop supports with an easy to smooth surface on US sites for ages! This will dissolve with polyester fibreglass I think but not with epoxy.

| I cut some the other day to see how it would, and it was very smooth ( with a sharp knife). This stuff looks fully closed cell. Its a pale orange in colour. |
