SECRET SANTA
A Secret Santa is a swapping of gifts anonymously in a group around Christmas time to enjoy the spirit of Christmas. It remains anonymous until you give your gift to your person. This year's is being organised by Nadiah Brown, Tegan Walsh and Danielle Muaror (you may find us on FB)

HOW THE EXCHANGE WILL RUN
- Signups are closed!! Thank you for entering c:
- This information will then go through our top secret santa machine, designed to (try) and match you up to your best potential partner - this will be based primarily on interests/fandoms you specify in your request, although depending on numbers you may end up needing to do some research!
- You will receive an email by the 20th of November with the name and details of your target!
- Because of the nature of our interests, we heavily encourage you to DIY your gifts - charms, plushies, props, anything you think your secret Santa might enjoy - home-made gifts are always the most special <3 If you wish to buy your gifts, use the value of $15 as a guideline.
- Send your present (with a return address just in case) to your person. Don't forget that the post get busier closer to X-mas time so the earlier the better.

COMMON SENSE WITH A GENTLE REMINDER
- This is a commitment. Do not enter if you can't guarantee you can be someone's Santa - it would suck for people who enter to give a gift and receive nothing in return.
- That being said, if you absolutely need to drop out let us know as soon as possible. (withdrawal without a valid reason may result in exclusion from future secret Santas :c )
- You don't have to spend a ridiculous amount on a present. It's the thought that counts (: but don't be stupid with gifts either. People do not appreciate receiving a roll of toilet paper as their gift. what we're saying is, be reasonable with your present chuu~!

- Don't go telling or swapping the person you are assigned to - it is a 'secret santa' after all!
- We cannot guarantee that you will receive a gift. This is up to the responsibility of the person that has been assigned to you. (If you haven't received a present we will make our best efforts to get you one, but this largely depends on how many people volunteer to do extra presents.)
- You will be receiving the address of another person. Be sensible. Don't go stalking.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
- Fill out the Google doc form through the link below with the required information.
- If you are unclear on anything, either email secretsanta.cnz@gmail.com or even better, reply to [the facebook post]. We won't be answering questions here!
- If you have read these rules and would like to participate in this event while filling in the form please copy and paste the passcode Jingle bells, Batman smells! (It's case and punctuation sensitive!)

POSTING ADVICE
- As you will be paired up according to your interests rather than your location, be aware you will be most likely posting your secret santa gift!
- NZPost has given some guidelines on dates for sending parcels and letters international and domestic, etc. These guidelines are available here per packages tied up with string ready and sent off by the 19st of December at the very latest for Standard Post!
