Where can i help find a costume designer?

Hey guys, really keen on working on Cosplay stuff (im a photographer)

Just a question, is it usually in Cosplay that the person makes their own costume? Does anyone know anyone who makes them? Would be cool to share some ideas and see if its possible etc!

Usually people make their own. A few people do some commissions, but between their own costumes and commissions get busy. Then again quite a few buy their costumes. Places like trinity treasures and ouji-hime in NZ offer a half way stop. They are NZ based shops, and although they both differ a little in what they offer they take commissions. But with the bonus of a shop acting as middleman or doing some of the work, lowering your risk.

Thanks for the prompt response and feedback, thats awesome, ill definately check them out. The costumes i used in my shoot were bought and came out really well.
