Photos please! Very Happy

I personally didn't take any but I'm sure a few of you did.

Did you enjoy Overload this year? How was the new venue? Did you like the new events (cosplay comp and Guess-the-Song, etc)?
Did you like the new artist table layout?

The cosplay comp winners were:
Best Overall: Shinrii (s-in-c) as Female Japan from Hetalia
Best Technical: Kealy as Corpse Bride
Best Group: Jun & Julia as Levi and Eren from Shingeki no Kyojin
and the others all won honourable mentions. There were about 10 contestants.

Kinda bummed I didn't take more photos of the cosplayers. But I spent so much on Range Murata goods and also really stoked over one of the artists I follow on tumblr being in Overload!

I always enjoy Overload!
Venue was pretty good. It wasn't as remote and far away as I thought it would be which was great! Having no ATM was a small speed bump for my wallet though, and I think the ticket booth ran out of cash too.
Guess the song was good fun to watch. Hard was REALLY hard, though. I guess that's Alan for you haha. It's so fun to see people react excitedly once it clicks inside them what the song playing is. Getting the audience involved was a nice touch to make it more interactive.
I think it might be possible to expand this into an anime trivia game which removes the limit of just OP/ED/IN questions and allows other questions about anime and Japanese pop culture.

There's an ATM about 10 min walk away from the venue, at the little dairy and shops complex not too far. Very Happy

For me I didn't really get to see Range Murata's livedraws, same as last year for Fuji-Shoko, because I was always looking at the stalls and talking to people /cosplayers/friends/artists and then I forget that he's doing a live draw. T_T

Oh! I'll take note of that if Overload is hosted there again next year :)

I was suggested to take a video of his live drawing but was kinda lazy to have my hand held up for the whole duration plus I thought taking sequential pictures would be neater, hopefully there's a recording floating around somewhere for you.

I only have a few that I took myself that I'll upload later~

Seong (GNC owner and head of the Overload committee) said the event was a great success! I was the Hanji doing door security for the event and there were people still coming in even at 5pm!!! Being a veteran that's been to every single Overload year since the first one started, I know for a fact that the number of people attending was amazing! I especially loved the addition of the cosplay comp this year. I hope to see even more cosplays next year :)
