[Comission Wanted] Female Star Trek Dress from Movie

I am looking to cosplay a female Star Trek officer (in the dress from the new movies), in October for Armageddon. I am still unsure about which one I am going to do. Either I will get the engineering or science or both.

I was wondering if any one would be able to make this, for a reasonable price. I am not too worried about the price really. Maybe $50-150 as a budget.

Hey there!

Firstly, it might help more if you put "Commission" instead of "Buyer" in your title - Easier to potential sewers to notices! Also, suggesting a budget would help too.

Secondly, have you checked out Ebay, Amazon, Trade Me, and other trading websites? They often (Especially Ebay) have a wealth of costumes available! Many are cheap quality, however there are always diamonds in the rough if you're willing to search yourself.

Also I have looked on heaps of sites. Most on Ebay seem to be made out of thin material, and most of the comments on those have been about how it was either too big or about the kind of material. I did find one on Etsy, but the problem is, getting the money together, and then having it shipped in time for it to be here for Auckgeddon.

Looking at the reference picture the material may be thinish? Too big can be easily fixed if necessary. But it is a reasonably fitted garment. I would say, depending on how accurate you want to be you will notice the sides for the skirt has several panels. It looks like many of the cheap replicas don't have those.

It's pricey, but it is made using the actual fabric as well as the pattern.
A friend of mine in the states just got hers (she looks exactly like Dr. Marcus) and she loves it!

Other than that someone on Spoonflower should have the fabric up...though that is pricey as well...
