Good to see the cosplay scene is healthy in New Zealand.
Mainly know as a cosplay photographer in the UK but have been know to cosplay too.
Enjoyed the Dunedin Armageddon Expo and looking forward to Christchurch Armageddon Expo next weekend.

Ohhh you got to go to the Dunedin geddon! Lucky! Wish I could go to the Christchurch geddon but not able to this year....will plan for next year^^

Think Dunedin will be even better next year. Everyone was saying that Wellington was the event to attend and were also recommending heading over to Melbourne. I certainly hope I have the time to get to these events.

No Lion san I haven't! Which is terrible because the 18cosplay ball is in June and I haven't even started on my dress! Nor have I started on my Rider cosplay.. I have done nothing *fall on the ground in a heap and cries * But! I have ordered a wig! (I am a student, there fore I am thee master of procrastiiinationnn)

And also I wouldn't worry about the rules. I have broken them accidentally a few times and the admins just send me a friendly message to let me know 'hey you can't do that' so it's cool :3

I did know there was a Cosplay Ball in Auckland.
Cosplay balls can be fun, any excuse to dress up smartly :)

There is indeed a ball. It is a new concept because it is R18. It's on June the 29th and you are more than welcome to come.The only catch is you HAVE to cosplay. I have a friend who really wants to wear a suit so I made him find a character in a fine suit and now he will be able to dress in a suit. But in cosplay ;)
It is going to be an awesome night. Very Happy

Very exciting because us cosplayers just don't have enough events!
I would love too travel to all the 'geddons but I just don't have the time or the finances. I envy the people who do!!

What about if I looked at who was coming to the ball from Wellington and see if I can organise (with them) a car pool? If you wanted to come! I am super busy next week (assignments coming out of places they really shouldn't ;p) but how 'bout I ask around for you :3?

I'll add the Cosplay Ball to my wish list. :) I'm just getting myself organised in NZ so cosplay plans are well down the 'To Do' list.

At this stage I'll focus on getting to the Wellington Armageddon Expo at the start of June.

Nice one that sounds lie a solid plan :) Got to get your self settled first before you go taking off everywhere in costume. On that tangent I opened my door to my darling boyfriend wearing his kick ass outfit. Casually.

Think the head is the key to doing this character and wasn't initally sure how I was going to make it. It could be improved but generally happy with how it is progressing. Will finish it and then leave it awhile before considering remaking it as often it grows on you after a couple of days.

Have a sewing machine now so will start planning the rest of costume.
