Frodo Baggins Make up tutorial/advice? By HikaruxKaoru. 17/03/13, 06:56 am |
| I have a real perfection complex when it comes to cosplaying charcters- I have to do the best to make myself look as close to them as possible!
How would I go about doing the makeup of Frodo? He's got such clear, pale skin, so thats a start! I have somewhat...uneven, skin. Not zits or anything- just ruddy. I have the problem that ANY concealer I use makes me look orange- and I've been using things such as "Pale Ivory".
Any tips on how to get his beautiful eyes would be much welcomed! I have quite large eyes- but they're more green than blue. Would I need contacts or could I get away with it by enhancing the blue tones in my eyes?
Sorry...rambling abit. ANYTHING would be a big help! |

| You and me both sister, lol.
As far as his pretty pretty skin goes, have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me range? I'm two shades off being translucent, so t's always hard trying to find a pale concealer that is close to my skin colour. I use the Fit Me 15 which is a lighter shade to the Fot Me 10, I thought the 10 would be lighter, but it isn't. It goes on really nice and I use a translucent powder to set it. If the old Fit Me range just doesn't make your complection even, have you tired the old thin lizzy concealer??? That stuff is about as hard core as it gets. It's got some form of bees wax in it, so it feels a bit heavy when it goes on, but it'll give you a perfect complection. I don't know about the shading though, I haven't found a shade light enough for me, so I imagine you are in the same boat. Although. i did test some on my hand, then went home and put transluscent powder on top of it and it looked much better colour wise.
I think you would be able to get away with your eye colour. I think that once you contour your face with a taupe colour the blue aspects of your eyes should stand out a bit more. And add a bit of black eyeliner to your upper water line under the lashes to make the colour really pop.
Again, hop ethis helps!! |

| I use Maybeline fit me too! It's pretty good. I'm not too makeup savvy, but I've found brands that don't make me orange. I use Natio's power, in one of the lighter colours.
If you want really bright eyes definitely get some contacts. My eyes change between blue/green/grey but I'd still get some contacts because their colours are so bright my eyes just don't compare, lol. |
