Another new-comer saying Hi

Hey everyone!

My name's Sheena, but you're also welcome to call me Sas :)

Stalked your forums for a few days and you all seem like nice friendly people so thought it might be time to introduce myself :grin:

I've put together quite a number of costumes over the years for various costume parties and its something I enjoy immensely. So much so, that somewhere along the line I went from putting costumes together FOR a event, to wanting to put together costumes & then looking for an excuse to wear them Razz

Which is guess is how I ended up on a cosplay forum like this :)

I've never been to any of the 'Geddons' cos I don't really have any friends that are interested, but i'd love to give it a go at some stage and maybe see some of you guys in your awesome & awe-inspiring costumes.

welcome!!! You definately have to go to Auckland Armageddon this year seeing as you live in Aucks and all lol. You can make a tonne of friends on here between now and october so you won't feel like you're all alone in this crazy cosplay universe.

haha, yep would be great to make some friends who understand the joys and frustrations of cosplay :)

Well so far I've done:

Stormer & Jem - Jem & the Holograms
Magenta & Columbia - Rocky Horror Picture Show
Princess Leia - Star Wars (A New Hope)
Sandy - Grease
Harley Quinn - Batman (The Animated Series)
Slytherin Student - Harry Potter

So yea, quite a few :) and I have a list about that long again of other costumes I'd love to have a go at, including more Star Wars, A few disney princesses and various other movies and 90's cartoons Razz

And of course theres plenty of alterations I could go back and make to the ones already on my 'Done' list. Yea, I'm a bit of a sucker for wanting my costumes to look as close as possible to the original. My Family are constantly like "Just settle down! It's the best you can do with your current skill level/budget/time frame. Razz

Yea, well I do have a number of friends that like dressing up for parties and such, but none quite so 'hardcore' as me. lol.

Hi!

I just wanted to say welcome to CNZ! *GRAND MUSIC*
This is indeed a fantastic place to meet like minded people and I would definitely recommend you come to a geddon! A lot of the cosplayers just meet up there so if by the time Auckgeddon comes around, I am positive you will either have someone to go with, or someone to meet. Very Happy

Also if you're having trouble with your costume wig etc everyone in CNZ is very helpful and can give you great tips. You will soon have the skills you need I am sure Very Happy
