Wellington Photoshoot?

Hi everyone
given the mad rush that is Armageddon, and that I find normal modelling shoots really really dull, anyone in/near Wellington city want to do a shoot? Am thinking some Saturdays in March, don't know if other photographers want to come along as well (Static?) to help mix things up?

I just need the practice in directing people, and there's a recurring theme of stiff poses, so the offer's there for practice for all of us :)

Also - Tails - if you read this - still up for an Airou/Melynx cosplay with my partner? Costume already made... :)

Where would the photoshoots be/areas that would be used? *Totally wants to get some photos, need motivation to get started on cosplays for this year*

Depends on costumes.

I would be guessing larger dresses would suit older architecture (even Parliament grounds might fit the bill), could have a scout for industrial areas (or ask my brother likely spots) for anything that has that vibe (I keep thinking ninja raiden for some reason there), and any number of parks for more generic fantasy shots.

Might motivate me as well to begin developing a list of places / weather suitability for doing photoshoots in general, although I normally only do wedding portraiture compared to modelling. Suggestions are welcome too :)

Was just reviewing calendar, I have prep work for a shoot this weekend, but was thinking the weekend of the 23rd/24th. I have a shoot on the 24th in the morning, but could do an afternoon shoot from 1pm somewhere either in city or further out.

I have a wedding to shoot on 30th, so that weekend is out. Any costumes picked so far?

Ack, just saw this thread, sorry dude! I'll pass on joining in on taking photos, but I'm keen for some more photos of a couple of my costumes Very Happy

I'll have to let you know closer to the time though what my schedule's like. But, keen!

Sorry for the lack of response - I didn't notice you Static. I'm about to do a writeup in a new thread, with what we found and some things to take note of when doing a shoot. But definitely will do it again!
