Well, mostly. I'm currently only doing one new costume for Auckland, as I don't want to overcommit and get stressed. I do need to touch up a few old costumes though that I want to wear!

As of now, this is my to-do list for Lelith Hesperax from Warhammer 40k (bolded items are done):

Spoiler:

Helmet
- finish sculpt to rough completion, mold and take a fibreglass cast
- check fit, and add "hard" details in styrene, apoxie, etc
- smooth, prime, paint
- add spikes! Screwed through, or glued on?
- ponytail holder
- attachment for hair

Hair ornaments
- barbs
- bones?
- all on chains, sewn into hair wefts

Chest armour
- detail chest piece
- paint

Bra DONE
- replace lacing cord

Hip armour
- celuka board, cut and sand
- nut out attachments, possibly attach a hook to hang knife from?
- paint

Leatherthong! DONE

Bracer
- Add details in milliput or apoxie
- sand, physics, sand

- spikes
- paint
- leather under-layer? Something to hide skin in gap.

Weapons
TRIDENT
- cut head base from polystyrene sheet, carve to rough shape, paper mache SMOOTHLY, bog
-sand and detail
- shaft detailing
WYCH BLADE
- cut in mdf, sand
- add detailings in apoxie or milliput
- sand, prime, paint

- apply final details, clearcoat

Left arm
- vac-form wrist cuff, and possibly also second sets of forearm plates; these could be done by hand though
- spikes in foam matting, check how well a scalpel+lighter goes for cutting smoothly. May need gloves!
- shape plates, goop the seam and sand smooth.
- Replace one sleeve on catsuit with black fabric from bicep down, perhaps?
- paint

Catsuit
- sew base garment
- adjust neckline, check that it sits below bra cups but not so low as to dip below nips and be uncomfortable
- replace left sleeve with black matte lycra/pleather from bicep down
- contour

Gloves
- spray nails a nailish colour
- fit gloves, and contour them as the catsuit before glueing nails on

Wing
- cut spokes from pvu board
- sand smooth, prime, spot fill as needed
- drill out wheels from u-brackets, mount to shoulder base
- cover base
- leather strap to go through D-ring over left breast
- buckle for underbust strap, possibly replace this strap with a leather one

- finish painting spokes, reinforce where required
- assemble!

Gigerspine
- sort out a paint/finish, and spikes
- paint and clearcoat

- how to attach to catsuit?? Velcro would not be a stupid idea, I think.

Rib pipes ATTACH TO SPINE
- box base for pipes, goop, add another set of ribs to strengthen?
- figure out a water-tight stopper for the tubing and fill that sugar honey iced tea with something that looks like a stimulant (do not use coffee it will reek)

Thigh armour
- styrene plates, cut and shape by hand. Spikes on outer edges, maybe milliput edging?
- sand smooth
- check hole placement for rivets, drill

- drill holes for spikes
- paint

Shin armour
- speak sternly to the leg forms until the expanding foam behaves itself
- remove tape, allow to cure another day or so, then skin with bog

- sand, add details, cut in half, mount to mdf, pull in either 1.5 or 2mm styrene

Shoes
- toe armour - non-negotiable. Keep at the Wonderflex plan, see if I can get the shape better, then reinforce and spot fill as needed. Vac-form only if I have to!!

Loincloth
- red chiffon, make sure it falls and drapes nicely, weather the hem. Dip dye hem to a dark purple
- attachments - on a band. Band could double as anchor point for the hip plates

- skull or something at crotch? Chiffon could flare out either side behind it, then pass through the mouth and fall down?

We were trying to find music for our skit on Spotify...and we resorted to finding songs through "STRIP CLUB ANTHEMS" and "POLE DANCE MEGA MIX"

Haha, I was thinking the same thing when I was painting them! The spikes don't really help much.

Long time no update...last costume was Aela the Huntress from Skyrim, which is mostly finished, but not quite! Here's where it's at now:

[Static's sketchbook] STRIPPER ANTHEMS Tumblr_inline_mjglevRgtm1qz4rgp

You might have seen me hulking around Chchgeddon lookin' all furry and stuff. I just did a big write up on it on tumblr, which you can find here: http://littlenoisephotography.tumblr.com/post/45047487248/

Things I need to work on are:

- weapons
I have a bow in the works, so far it's shaped and just needs to be engraved (I'm going to try scratching in the woodgrain, and using the textural difference to help with painting) and painting, and stringing. I'm basing on the Hunting Bow from the game, and a quiver of steel arrows I think. Daedric would look pretty cool...but kind of weird with the rest of the outfit. I'm also working on a sword, which is going well with blade and pommel, but I'm going to have the filigree on the hilt laser cut. I tried doing by hand and just about vomited blood, I was getting so frustrated with it, so NO MORE.

- wig
I bought one, screwed it up, salvaged it, and then decided I hated it anyway. So, new wig!

- footwraps
I need to find a different leather to used for this, and will probably wrap it over a layer of fur to give it some bulk and keep my footsies warm. I have a LOT of possum scraps floating around (I bought a kilo and a half on TradeMe, and apparently that is a really huge amount of fur) so I'm toying with the idea of a cloak as well. It would be pretty cool, let's be honest. I'd walk around pretending I was actually a werewolf.

- minor mending
The costume's been worn three times now, over three full days. It's holding up REALLY well, but as it's all hand-stitched, I'll need to do some spot repairs. I also want to make it easier to take bathroom breaks in, because at the moment it takes like a half hour to get the whole thing off, pee, and then put it all back on. It's very annoying.
