Thinking of coslaying as Yukio Okumura from Ao No Exorcist but I haven't seen the show nor know anything about it. I just like the character's appearance.

Not sure what days Ill be going but I have these to Choose from:

Haven't decided what to wear but if anyone wants to group up for something I'd be keen, be nice to go/hang out with another cosplayer at an event.

For those who've not seen the stadium, but been to TSB Arena in Wellington - here's a rough analysis of the venue.

1 - Location (Google Maps) - about the same or maybe a little better in terms of transport. Lots of parking being a stadium, hopefully cheaper than the weekend rates under TSB!) Adjacent to railway station, bus terminal. I'd say a slightly shorter distance, and less / no roads to cross.

2 - Size - will be interesting to see how it's laid out. The stadium folk don't generally allow non sporting events access to the stands or ground, but the adjacent spaces are quite large. There's a large concrete floored space, running in a wide corridor with a number of entry/exit points. I'm hoping the event includes the use of the upstairs areas (carpeted, divided) If they get hold of those areas, it should allow a much more relaxed panel area and hopefully cosplay area.

Amenities - hmm. TSB wins on this I would say. Just due to TSB in central location in town vs WestPac Stadium out towards the port loading areas. It's about 10-15min walk to McDonalds for instance. Probably 20 min to New World Thorndon as the cheapest place (New World Metro in the railway station is pricey). But all likely cheaper than convention food, what else is new. At least it's flat and paved, but if blowing/raining it's not the nicest walk back towards the railway station sad

I hope it works out as a venue - chokepoints in TSB (main stage points for instance), crowd disruption during panels (just constant traffic compared to Michael Fowler Centre) and congestion in general are just hard to contend with. Hard enough with camera gear - let alone super fragile cosplay or props.

It will be my first time going to Wellygeddon this year! ^^ I booked the flights and I'm coming down with 3 others from Auckland. I hope to meet lots of new people who cosplay in Welly Very Happy

I'm still debating over the last day cosplay plans but the ones that I'm definitely doing are:
Shogo Kawada from Battle Royale and a red scout from Team Fortress 2.

At the moment I'm leaning towards Ganta Igarashi from Deadman Wonderland but it may or may not change. Along with Ganta, debating my 3rd day over Beta Kirito from Sword Art Online, Amano Yukiteru from Mirai Nikki or Hibiki Kuze from Devil Survivor 2.

Yesss! Basing it of the Jdrama/ Live action movie, personally appearance-wise I would suit Shuya better... but Kawada was the best character and I just had to do it! xD

I'm laughing at how people are going to freeze in Wellington, and then not laughing as I look at my own plans.
I only have one that I know I will finish the others will depends on time and uni all that jazz.
